There is a dark side to almost every sweetener, whether it’s natural or not. For many, simple sugars in cane or beet sugar, honey, maple syrup, or fruit concentrates cause unwanted fluctuations in blood sugar and raise triglycerides. And then we must fret over unnecessary calories and risk of dental caries that accompany delectable sugars.

So man devised artificial sweeteners such as cyclamates and saccharin, two mild carcinogens; and aspartame, a neurotoxin that may cause brain lesions. And we got sorbitol, and mannitol. They don’t cause cavities, but they are laxative. So where is a sweetener that does no harm? We must turn to a dietary supplement for the answer.

It is Sweet Vibes from Vibrant Health. Sweet Vibes combines Stevia leaf extract with the highest quality fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS). Stevia extract is 200 to 300 times sweeter than cane sugar due to glycosides that can be extracted from the leaves. Yet the glycosides do not affect blood sugar levels in any way. An appropriate dosage of Stevia extract is difficult to regulate because of its intense sweetness. Diluting extract with an acceptable carrier could tone down intensity. Vibrant Health found the answer in 1997 by joining Stevia extract with FOS. It is an ideal combination.

A New Concept
Sweet Vibes in shaker jars employs FOS produced by enzymes that change the molecular structure of natural sugars in sugar cane so they can no longer be digested and absorbed by humans. Still FOS retains half the sweetness of sugar yet is less than 5% digestible carbohydrate as residual glucose, sucrose and fructose. The other 96% is non-digestible FOS. Friendly intestinal bacteria (probiotics) living in the human intestine thrive on FOS, growing and expanding into robust colonies.

Stevia’s benefits lie in its historical use to normalize both blood pressure and blood sugar, no doubt by substituting for natural sugars in the diet. Laboratory work also indicates that Stevia inhibits harmful (cariogenic) bacteria found in the mouth and the gastrointestinal tract.

Sweet Vibes™ achieves the long sought goal of a virtually calorie free dietary supplement that is intensely sweet and beneficial to the user. Sweet Vibes™ does not raise or lower blood sugar, it does not trigger insulin release, nor does it raise blood triglycerides. Sweet Vibes™ is neither laxative, carcinogenic nor neurotoxic. In short, it is harmless AND beneficial, safe for diabetics and anyone wishing to restrict intake of sugar.
