Grampa's Garden Body Shawl Black Watch Flannel was developed by physical therapists who saw the benefits of creating a moist/dry hot pac that would conform to the muscles and joints, be easy to use, safe and portable.

Why a Natural Pac?
Local applications of heat are used to help relieve pain and muscle spasm and may improve blood circulation to the applied area. This pac may be beneficial with such conditions as tendonitis, arthritis, bursitis, muscle and joint soreness, neck and back pain.
The Natural Pac was designed for both moist and dry heat use. Using moist heat may allow deeper penetration of heat and may increase muscle elasticity. The Natural Pac can also be used as a cold pac to help reduce pain and swelling.

Suggested Use
For Hot Pac:
Fold Shawl in half twice and place in microwave on high for 2 minutes. Make sure microwave plate rotates. Tuen over and repeat.
Spritz fabric with water to create a moist Shawl.
Time will vary based on microwave size.
For Cold Pac:
The Shawl may also be used as a cold compress. Place Shawl in a plastic bag or the Vinyl bag that the Shawl cam packaged in, and then into the freezer for 1+ hours.
Cleaning Instructions:
Spot clean only.
Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended heating time. Improper use of this product could result in burn or injury. Due to the differences in the heating times of various microwaves, caution should be used when first heating The Natural Pac until a safe amount of heat is achieved and the proper heating time for your microwave is determined.
People suffering from nerve damage, circulation problems or paralysis should use The Natural Pac only as directed by a physician.

I love this item!! I have owned one for a few years and am buying another for me because my son always wants it when I heat it up. It is great for sore muscles but is also wonderful when nothing hurts on a cold night. It is truly a comfort item. It is so comforting to put on cold feet or when you can't get the chill out of your bones. I cannot say enough about how much we love this item. I am buying them as Christmas gifts for my favorite people. You will love it!!

This is our second purchase for ourselves and have given them as gifts. They heat well in the microwave and hold the warmth for an incredible length of time. the size and flexibility allows you to cover shoulders, full length of your back or anywher you need a heat pack. We started with one shawl several years ago and then HAD to have a "His and Hers" to keep us both happy. Our daughter thought we were crazy when we gave her one for Christmas a couple of years ago. She finally tried it and now, especially in colder weather, snuggles up with her body shawl when she gets home from work. WONDERFUL PRODUCT!

This body shawl was a replacement item for me, so it arrived pretty much as I expected. However, heating it in the microwave for the normal 2 1/2 minutes gave off an odor I didn't expect. Once past that, it's warm comfort for a chilly body!
