Uncle Lee's Tea - Oolong Tea Bulk Premium All Natural - 5.29 oz. (150 g)

Uncle Lee's Tea Oolong Premium All Natural Tea in Bulk contains anti-oxidants. Oolong tea (literally translated as "Black Dragon") is what is known as a partially oxidized green tea (camellia sinensis ), and has some of the qualities of both green tea and black tea. Uncle Lee's Oolong Tea in Bulk consists of high quality oolong harvested from the Fujian Province in China. Because Uncle Lee's Oolong is not baked as long as Dark Oolong, the steeped tea has a light golden hue, sweet flora aroma, fresh initial flavor, and a sweet floral aftertaste which lasts after the sip. The rich flavor and fragrant aroma of their oolong tea result from an oxidizing action called "withering." this process is done by tumbling the tea, or otherwise bruising the surface of the leaves. This allows the tea to soften, releasing enzymes that darken the tea leaves when exposed to air.

Oolong Tea is a world famous natural health drink that is loaded with antioxidants and thus, many health benefits. It is a natural fat emulsifier and has approximately 15 to 55 mg caffeine per cup depending on the strength of the brew.

    About Uncle Lee's Tea
Began as a U.S. factory headquartered in Southern California, they were established to support distribution centers and retail tea shops in both the United States and Canada. After being in business for a short time since, they then became a full scale independently labeled tea manufacturer and have now focused completely on domestic and international businesses. Their North American headquarter has been in operation since 1988. Currently, their tea products can be found on the shelves of many national retailers as well as direct tea distributors in both the United States and Canada.

    Uncle Lee's Tea Specialty
Green Teas, both traditional and flavored, has been their number one selling product for many years. They are the first tea manufacturer to introduce green tea into the North American market and has since then been playing an important role in the manufacturing of quality Green Tea. They are also known for their delicious Herbal Teas, both hot and iced, fruity fragrance flavored black tea blends and a complete line of popular dieter tea called Body Slim Dieter Teas. Their various dieter teas are both effective and tasty, which has been very popular since introduction. For people who are in need of very specialized functions, they have their line of Medicinal Teas. These teas, with names like Energy Booster, Digestion Soother, Tox Guard and System Builder, have the natural anti-oxidant properties of its green tea base as well as the skillful addition of herbs for specific functions and flavorings that provide a memorable and healthy cup of tea.

Pursuing the excellence of tea manufacturing and responding to market demand, they began their own line of Chai Teas which comes in four unique flavors as well as 100% organic ingredients. The popularity of their Chai teas has proven that they have successfully introduced another great line of tea product to their family of teas. Their newest addition to their family of tea products includes the line of Legends of China Green Tea series that comes in four different flavors - original, lemon, Jasmine, and rose. They are proud to introduce their newest flavoring of tea - rose - for an exotic new taste to tea drinking. Most of their tea products are in the form of tea bags which can be easily prepared. They also carry a line of bulk tea (loose leaves) products for the serious drinker with the proper tea equipment.

    Quality Control
When it comes to tea manufacturing, the word "quality" is Uncle's Lee number one priority. To set themselves apart from their competitors, they continue to carry on the tradition of Ten Ren's quality tea without sacrificing packaging of tea bags. Their conservative view of tea manufacturing has been constantly reminding us to only bring the best to the consumers. Don't take their words for it, their products are 100% Star-K "Kosher" certified for quality and freshness.

Their manufacturing is based one simple principal -- quality. They incorporate industry's highest technology and standards when it comes to preparing their tea into tea bags. In logistics, they always utilize the best method of transportation to move their tea from the plants in China to ensure 100% freshness when they arrive.

    Suggested Use

The fresh water used to steep this tea should be about 185 to 195 degrees F or 85 to 90 C. Use approximately one teaspoon (3 grams) of tea leaves for about every 8 ounces (150 milliliters) of water. A steeping time of about 3-5 minutes is recommended with more or less time depending on the desired concentration. As a rough guide, the higher the temperature of the water or the greater amount of leaves used, the shorter the steeping time should be. The tea leaves should uncurl for full flavor. When preparing this tea, the leaves can be used multiple times, until the flavor of the tea is exhausted. Each canister of Uncle Lee's Green Oolong Tea will yield approximately 50 to 75 servings.

I LOVE Uncle Lee's Oolong! It is a little more expensive than some, but a lot less than others. For the price it is an excellent tasting and very smooth Oolong tea.

    I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

Since this is just free tea leaves, I definitely reccommend a steeping basket, however, the flavor of this tea is unreal! I LOVE it. I normally will not even need to sweeten it depending on how long I actually let it steep. And it is a lot of tea for the price!I wholly reccomend you check this tea out. :)
