Mega Vegidophilus Powder by Natren
Mega Vegi-dophilus® is designed specifically for those who enjoy a vegetarian lifestyle. Cultured with Lactobacillus acidophilus, DDS-1 super strain, this probiotic supplement is milk-free and defends the small intestine against undesirable bacteria.
Mega Vegi-dophilus® functions just like Natren®’s Megadophilus®, but it is grown in a special vegetarian growth medium blend in order to maximize its effectiveness.
Although cultured by the DDS-1 super strain, Mega Vegi-dophilus® works differently from the Megadophilus® dairy. It is grown in a vegetarian media, so it is fed a different diet from the dairy based supplement.
Mega Vegi-dophilus® is designed for people who cannot tolerate milk protein, and is more compatible with their systems than the dairy formula.
The DDS-1 super strain only releases the most beneficial properties when grown exclusively using milk as its food source. So, in order to preserve the effectiveness of the DDS-1 super strain grown in milk, but formulate the product for those who need a non-dairy base and prefer a vegetarian formula, the Mega Vegi-dophilus® was developed with various vegetable sources that mimic the carbohydrate/protein ratio found in milk. Consequently, it does not need a milk base to be beneficial.
