Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli have been associated with antioxidant and cellular protection. Jarrow Formulas BroccoMax contains a standardized concentration of sulforaphane glucosinolate extracted (without solvents) from broccoli seeds. Sulforaphane glucosinolate is metabolized to sulforaphane (isothiocyanate), which is a highly reactive antioxidant. I bought this product for my mother who has COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulminary Disease) and it is making a huge difference in the amount of times she gets a bronchitis and/or sinus attack. She is coughing up less conjestion as well. She will continue to take this product as it is suppose to heal the lungs and she has been smoking now for over 50 years.

I initially ordered BroccoMax for my 78 yr. old mother for COPD with emphesema. After, 2 months of taking BroccoMax, her Pulmonary Specialist commented that he had never seen her lungs look so good. Recently, I had a serious bout of a virus and flu. I took the BroccoMax along with antibiotics and plenty of fluids and a daily vitamin supplement. I seemed to have recovered well and fairly quick. I can't help but think that the BroccoMax helped our recovery; along with the "Great Physician" as always.

My post cancer doctor had me start on broccoli seed extract 2 years ago. Nice to find a reputable product for a good price.

I am at the present unfamiliar with any palpable effects of the product. However I do believe that there is benefit essentially to taking such a phytoceutical. I am taking it because of COPD the effects are unknown perhaps because it is early in the game.
