Better Water Drinking Water Filter with Corn-Based Bottle by New Wave Enviro Products
This corn starch plastic container is made from polyactide (PLA). Natureworks PLA is a unique polymer that behaves like P.E.T. ( a petroleum-based plastic) in the manufacturing process. PLA has great organoleptic characteristics and is excellent for food contact and related packaging applications. Biodegrades in just 80 days in commercial compost systems.

The bottle will shrink if you take it into the heat - so this is a stay at home bottle - and it is hard to get the water to come out - plus the filter falls off after a little while - get the Liv Fit instead.
I saw this water bottle on Oprah. It is a fantastic way to purify your water on the go. Highly recommend, makes a great "Green" gift too!
It is so hard to get the water through these filters. You end up sucking on the bottle and drenching yourself when it leaks, as the other reviewer stated. The manufacturer never responded to my request for a replacement. I'd say pass on these - all you're removing is a bit of chlorine. It's a filter, not a purifier.
I purchased 3 water bottles and 2 of them the lid did not close tight enough so that when you would squeeze the bottle to drink water, water would also pour out from where you screw on the lid. Obviously some sort of manufacturing defect. I am surprised a company would sell a product that the lids do not close properly on 2 out of 3 products. I liked the idea that it is made out of corn and biodegrades. I hope they fix the product.
