SAMe (S-Adenosyl-Methionine) was first discovered in 1952 and has been commercially available in Europe since the 1970's. SAMe is an important compound that occurs in every living cell and takes part in several biological reactions in the human body. The important phyiological results of these reactions are the manufacture of neural cell membrane function.
SAMe has been studied extensively and has been clinically found to promote and support:

Suggested Use
For optimal absorption into the body, the best time to take SAMe is on an empty stomach at least 30 minutes before a meal. To support and promote joint health, mobility and joint comfort, take 2 tablets twice a day. Clinical studies indicate that benefits may be evident in the first two weeks of supplementation and may continue for a prolonged period of time.
For optimal mood and emotional well-being, take 2 tablets in the morning and 2 tablets in the afternoon. Taking SAMe at bedtime may interfere with a good night's rest. Clinical studies indicated that benefits may be evident within one week of supplementation. If benefits are not achieved in two weeks, you may require a ligher level of supplementation. To determine the proper level of supplementation that works best for you, gradually increase the number of tablets, up to 8 tablets a day, until benefits are achieved.
SAMe can be used regardless of the number of benefits that are being sought.
