FOUND TO BE LESS POROUS AND LESS REACTIVE THAN OTHER COMPOUNDS, PES CAN WITHSTAND REPEATED STERILIZATION WITHOUT DEGRADING. MOST IMPORTANT, IT IS FREE OF PHTHALATES AND FREE OF BISPHENOL A (BPA), A SUSPECTED HORMONE-DISRUPTING CHEMICAL USED IN POLYCARBONATE PLASTIC, FROM WHICH MOST BABY BOTTLES ARE MADE. PES IS FDA APPROVED TO BE SAFELY USED IN CONTACT WITH FOOD. OUR CAPS AND RINGS ARE MADE FROM POLYPROPYLENE PLASTIC, WHICH IS ALSO BPA-FREE, AND OUR NIPPLES ARE MADE FROM A MEDICAL GRADE SILICONE.
