About Heuer MD Research
Dr. Heuer is an innovative and accomplished leader who has served as Chief Scientific Officer of Iovate Health Sciences, Inc., Vice President of Clinical Research, IntegraMed America; Vice President and Director Worldwide
Clinical Investigation, Therapeutic Unit Research & Development Pharmaceuticals, SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals (now GlaxoSmithKline); Vice President Research and Development, Wallace Laboratories (now
MedPointe); and Vice President, Clinical Research Worldwide and Medical Director, Ayerst Laboratories (now Wyeth), among other notable positions.
In addition to the above, Dr. Heuer has long been active in teaching, publishing, inventing, professional societies, and community service. His outstanding contributions over the years have earned him numerous awards from prestigious institutions such as the American Medical Association (he is a 13-time recipient) and several of the Marquis "Who's Who" series (14 listings).
His extensive research experience (including 30 funded projects) encompasses a wide variety of conditions and topics including osteoporosis, overactive bladder/incontinence, candidiasis, urinary tract infection, bronchitis, pneumonia, endometriosis, hypertension, arthritis, diabetes, sinusitis, and migraine headaches as well as hormone replacement therapy, oral contraceptives, and lipid lowering.
