To Start: Sterilize nipples by placing in boiling water for 3 minutes.

To Maintain: Wash nipples in hot water using a mild liquid soap, or use top rack of dishwasher. Before each use, inspect nipples for signs of damage or weakness. Throw away and replace if nipple appears to be torn, cracked or broken. Do not put your baby to bed with a bottle. Extended contact with liquids may cause severe tooth decay. Do not push nipple bursh through hole or attempt to enlarge hole, since this can tear nipple. If nipple tears, discontinue use immediately and replace with new nipple. A torn nipple is a potential chokin hazard.
