Navitas Naturals Cacao Power™ products are certified organic, certified kosher, raw and cultivated in Peru. We practice fair trade purchasing and recently our Peruvian partners were awarded Fair Trade certification. All our raw Cacao products are processed at temperatures below 118 degrees Fahrenheit. Our organic Criollo Cacao beans are only partially fermented and are never fumigated or irradiated. We accomplish this by transferring our freshly harvested Cacao beans to the processing facility as fast as possible. Once in the facility the Cacao beans are cleansed with purified water. The cleansing process is an important part of preventing microbial contamination. This procedure ensures a safe and clean product.

Our organic raw Cacao powder is created where we cold press the shelled Cacao beans and separate the fiber from the oil. The oil becomes raw Cacao butter and the fiber cake is milled into a nutrient dense raw Cacao (Cocoa) powder. Our Cacao powder in not Dutch processed. Our unsweetened Cacao powder can be used like any ordinary Cocoa powder – in hot and cold drinks, smoothies, baking and deserts.
