Between age 40 and 55, men can experience a phenomenon similar to the female menopause, called Andropause. Step one involves an enzyme called the aromatase enzyme. This enzyme converts testosterone to estrogen. AMIDREN uses select herbs, which act as aromatase inhibitors and lowers the conversion of testosterone to estrogen.
 
Stage IV.  Blocks Estrogen Receptors:
 
Step two of AMIDREN’s estrogen modulation uses estrogen-blocking compounds. In order for hormones to exert their effects they must attach to what are called receptor sites. The enzyme 5-alpha reductase is responsible for converting testosterone to this potentially dangerous hormone.
