Do Not Exceed 6 Doses in a 24 Hour Period.
Adults and Children 12 years and over: take 2 tablespoonfuls every 4 hours; Children 6 to 12 years of age: 1 tablespoonful every 4 hours; Children 2 to 6 years of age: 1 teaspoonful every 4 hours. Not to exceed 4 doses in a 24 hour period. For children under 2 years of age, consult a doctor. Ask a doctor before use if a cough that lasts or is chronic such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema or a cough accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus).

If you are wanting something different than standard cough medicine this is good, but look at the active ingredient-it is the same as most over the counter cough medicines. So be carful not to use it with other cough medicines with the same ingredient.
