About Atacora Essential
Atacora Essential was established in Boukombe, Benin, West Africa and Olympia, WA in 2009. their Founder served in the Peace Corps from 1992 in the same villages that they operate in today. They are dedicated to fighting poverty and inequality in Africa by revaluing indigenous resources and promoting gender equality through Fair Trade. All of their products are wild and sustainable harvested, 100% pure and natural and traditionally manufactured. They pay their suppliers and workers Fair Trade prices and wages, and pledge 10% of revenues for community empowerment projects to support health, education and environmental stewardship in the impoverished rural villages in the Atacora Mountains where they work. by supporting the health and wellness of their customers with their unique products, they also support the health and wellness of their host communities.
