HumanX gear is used in high intensity interval training (HIIT) - CrossFit, Strongman and Strength/Conditioning Regimens - where the focus is on training bodies to function better in everyday life. With a broad and balanced emphasis on Strength, Speed, Agility, Stability, Balance and Power, every workout is different and each exercise unique.
HumanX training tools are designed to enhance a user's workout by helping them reach performance goals. This foundation was established by Harbinger fitness gear, known among weightlifters for the past 25 years as the "go to" brand for weightlifting gloves, belts, wraps, straps and related conditioning products.
"We began seeing Harbinger weightlifting gear used in CrossFit gyms several years ago, specifically some of our wrist wraps, knee wraps and belts," says Chanin Cook, Director of Marketing for Harbinger. At about the same time, Harbinger President David McCrane's children joined CrossFit in different parts of the country. He caught their enthusiasm. "Since our core weightlifting products were already being used in functional training gyms, and there is demand for high quality, specialized product, launching HumanX was a natural extension for Harbinger."
Why HumanX? In HIIT, there is an emphasis on continuously changing workouts that promote muscle confusion and prepare the body for whatever every day life brings.
HumanX represents Human To The Power of X. One's ability to harness their own power to achieve their personal fitness goals.
Harbinger was founded in 1988 by David McCrane, a long time sports enthusiast and entrepreneur/inventor. At the time, McCrane worked in the skateboard industry and saw the need for a wrist-stabilizing glove that would provide skaters with protection and wrist support, and not interfere with their skating… and the patented WristWrap glove was born.
While traveling to promote his WristWrap glove invention, McCrane sat next to an associate of 5-time Mr. Olympia Lee Haney. After a long chat, McCrane realized the opportunity for the WristWrap technology in weight training gloves. McCrane developed a line of weight training gear using Haney as inspiration which quickly positioned Harbinger as a force in the fitness market. Harbinger and Haney worked together to broaden Harbinger's brand awareness with lifters and fitness enthusiasts. After Haney retired from competitive lifting, Harbinger continued to grow its fitness business and today enjoys over a 70% market share in fitness products.
Harbinger built its reputation as an authentic, performance-oriented brand for athletes and fitness enthusiasts. They offer innovation, technology, quality and value at every price point. With numerous patents on gloves and other training items, Harbinger continues to bring new products to the market. They offer products for power weightlifting, strength training, home exercise and core training. Harbinger is the brand of choice for athletes serious about their training and achieving their personal fitness goals.
