    Posture-D Calcium with Vitamin D & Magnesium 600 mg - 60 Caplets

Posture-D Calcium is the only leading calcium supplement that delivers the ratio of calcium to phosphorus found in healthy bones. Posture-D gives you all the recommended Calcium plus Vitamin D along with the maximum benefits of Phosphorus! Posture-D provides recommended daily levels of calcium in an easy-to-swallow coated caplet.

    How Posture-D Helps
If you are among the 50 million American women who don’t obtain the recommended daily intake for phosphorus from a well-balanced diet…Posture-D can help. Posture-D is the ONLY leading calcium supplement that contains the right ratio balance of calcium to phosphorus found in healthy bones. So, by taking Posture-D you get all the recommended Calcium plus Vitamin D along with the maximum benefits of Phosphorus!
    • Specially formulated with Tricalcium Phosphate = As easily absorbed as calcium from milk without gas/stomach problems
    • Contains Phosphorus = Because Calcium Alone is Not Enough for Healthy Bones
    • 600 mg Calcium in each caplet = Provides recommended daily levels of calcium
    • Up to 4X more Vitamin D than other leading brands = helps your body absorb calcium better
    • Specially coated smaller caplets = easier to swallow than other leading products
Why has Vitamin D been increased to 500 IU per caplet?
Vitamin D is extremely important in helping your body absorb calcium. Recent studies have shown that Vitamin D has other important benefits such as maintaining breast, colon, and cardiovascular health. Many of us don't get enough sun exposure or eat food sufficiently rich in Vitamin D, so now a daily regimen of Posture-D provides 1000 IU of Vitamin D.
    Why is Phosphorus Important?
According to recent studies, consuming calcium with phosphorus is more effective at building strong bones than consuming calcium alone. If you are among the 50 million American women who don't obtain the daily RDI for phosphorus from a balanced source in their normal diet take Posture-D, the only leading calcium supplement that delivers the ratio of calcium to phosphorus found in healthy bones.
    Frequently Asked Questions
    What does “elemental” calcium mean?
Elemental calcium is the usable part of the calcium. Each tablet contains 600 mg of elemental calcium.
Will I get the same benefit from Posture-D if I cut or crush the tablets?
Yes. If you have difficulty swallowing tablets, you can cut or crush Posture-D.
What is the best way to take Posture-D for maximum absorption?
Take Posture-D with food for maximum absorption.
Can I take Posture-D with an iron supplement?
Since calcium interferes with the absorption of iron, it’s best to take your Posture/Posture-D at least one hour apart from your iron supplement.
Should I take both of the Posture-D tablets at the same time, or separately?
There may be some benefit to taking the tablets separately (e.g., one in the morning and one in the evening) because your body may absorb more this way.
Why do they use tricalcium phosphate in Posture/Posture-D?
Tricalcium phosphate is used in the Posture line because it is generally less gas-producing than other forms of calcium. Tricalcium phosphate is mined calcium. It is not from bone or shellfish.
Can you tell me how tricalcium phosphate is absorbed compared to other forms of calcium, such as calcium citrate?
Many factors influence the absorption of calcium, such as, the presence of vitamin D, phosphorus, the amount of calcium per tablet, and the presence of other minerals (e.g., iron decreases the absorption of calcium and magnesium increases the absorption). Calcium phosphate delivers both calcium and phosphorus. Both calcium phosphate and calcium citrate are good at being absorbed into the blood stream; however, phosphorus helps calcium to get absorbed into the bone. Phosphorus is very important for maintaining healthy bones. Recent studies show that as many as 50 million American women do not get adequate amounts of phosphorus in their diet. (Note: Posture is the only major calcium brand that delivers both calcium and phosphorus. Posture-D is unique in that it delivers vitamin-D, in addition to calcium and phosphorus, which also enhances its absorption.)
Where is the carnauba wax derived from in Posture-D?
The carnauba wax is obtained naturally, from the leaf buds and leaves of the Brazilian carnauba palm.
    How should I store Posture-D?
Store your Posture/Posture-D in a closed container, at room temperature, between 59 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit for stability purposes, and keep out of reach of children.
    Maintaining Strong Bones
Strong bones form the framework for a healthy body, and are especially important for aging women and men. Why? Because bones stop growing by the time we’re 30. From age 35 on, some bone loss is a normal part of aging for both women and men. However, we can take steps to offset this loss through healthy eating/supplementation, exercise, and avoiding harmful lifestyle habits.

The Role of Calcium, Vitamin D, and Phosphorus
The most important component of good bone health is calcium. Each day, calcium is deposited and withdrawn from your bones. Foods like low fat milk, yogurt, cheese, soy products, and leafy green vegetables are good natural sources of calcium. While calcium is the most prevalent element in bone, your body also needs adequate amounts of vitamin D to help absorb the calcium, and phosphorus to promote repair of bone and tissue.Whenever possible, it is best to get your minerals from foods. However, vitamin D is naturally available in only a few foods. If adequate amounts of calcium, vitamin D, and phosphorus are not included in your daily diet, supplements can work well. Here are some tips to help calcium supplements work best:

    • Try taking smaller doses two times during the day. You will consume the full dose at once.
    • Take your calcium at the same time each day, such as when you finish meals or brush your teeth
    • Take calcium with meals, because food improves absorption of the calcium and other minerals

Two types of exercise help build and maintain bone. Weight bearing exercises such as walking, jogging, dancing, and skiing increase bone density. Muscle strengthening exercises such as weight training and vigorous water exercises improve bone strength and muscle mass. Both types of exercise make you stronger and more agile. For optimal bone health, a good goal should be to get at least 30-40 minutes of weight bearing exercise three to four times per week, and to add muscle strengthening exercise a day or two each week. Of course, consult your physician or personal trainer if you have any questions or concerns.

    Lifestyle Habits
Just as we know that minerals, vitamins, and exercise help build bone, we know that certain foods and other substances accelerate bone loss.

Foods that drain calcium from your bones include caffeine, alcohol, excess salt, and soda. Smoking accelerates bone loss and affects the function of calcium and other minerals and hormones in the body.

In my opinion, this is the best calcium supplement on the market. The calcium is calcium phosphate, which doesn't upset my stomach, and it has a good amount of Vitamin D in it as well. Regarding Lucky Vitamin, I always check them first when I need any H&B product. Their response time, prices and service are all excellent as well.
