Wyndmere Naturals Joyful Spirit Synergistic Essential Oil Blend - .33 oz. (10 ml)

Welcome joy into your world with Wyndmere Naturals Joyful Spirit Synergistic Blend. Wyndmere Naturals Joyful Spirit Synergistic Blend is an uplifting and cheerful synergistic blend of Wyndmere's 100% pure therapeutic essential oils. Wyndmere Naturals Joyful Spirit Synergistic Blend inspires creativity and promotes confidence. Embrace the day with Wyndmere Naturals Joyful Spirit Synergistic Blend.

    Pure Synergistic Blend Essential Oils
Harmony for your health! Using their 100% therapeutic essential oils, Wyndmere has created synergistic blends to enhance the quality of your everyday life, positively influence your emotions and delight your senses.

Wherever possible, Wyndmere Naturals purchases oils distilled from plants that are grown organically, ethically wildcrafted or pesticide free. All of Wyndmere's oils are steam distilled with the exception of the citrus oils which are cold pressed and Jasmine which is an absolute (solvent extracted). Wyndmere's oils are sourced worldwide and are presented in cobalt blue bottles with attractive and informative labeling that provides you with the common name, the botanical name and the country of origin.

In order for essential oils to be therapeutic, they must not be adulterated with synthetics or diluted with cheaper oils. Wyndmere is committed to providing only the most genuine and authentic pure essential oils. Wyndmere will not place profit above their customers' satisfaction, and they will never waiver from their commitment to quality.

The Art of Blending: Synergy for Your Health
Each essential oil possesses unique properties which when blended with other complementary oils can have an enhanced effect. Using Wyndmere's therapeutic pure essential oils, you can create a personal fragrance to help improve the quality of your day and positively influence your mood and emotions. Blending is a very personal and creative process that is more art than science. First, determine your intention for the blend such as perfume or massage, body care or cosmetic. Start with a few basic oils like Lavender, Peppermint, Ylang Ylang or Sandalwood.

Take your time getting to know the oils, how they might smell to you in the morning versus the evening, and learn more about how they may affect your physical or emotional health. Mix and match the oils based on their properties and the result you desire, adding a drop at a time. Make certain you keep account of the amount used for each oil in the event you want to duplicate your creation. Let the final concentration set for as long as possible before adding to a carrier oil or lotion as it will become richer with time. Store away from heat and light (best kept in a dark glass bottle).

Not ready to try blending oils yourself? Experience one of Wyndmere's Synergistic Blends. After spending many hours researching the different medicinal, aromatic, and harmonious properties of Wyndmere oils, Wyndmere Naturals developed a wonderful line of synergistic essences to be used directly in diffusers or baths, or added to carrier oils and lotions for topical application. For example, blends such as Anxiety Release, Relaxing and Stress Relief help you cope with the stress and tension of your fast-paced life. To release negative emotions and find inner peace try Serenity, Patience, Peaceful Mind or Forest Retreat. To help find emotional balance try Balancing, Believe, Comforting Cheer or Emotional Rescue. To enhance and refresh your home environment diffuse Refreshing, Household Purifier, Bacteria Fighter or Citrus Delight in the air or add them to household cleaners.

    About Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is a holistic therapy that uses pure essential oils to positively influence the mind and body and to enhance emotional and physical well-being. Essential oils are highly concentrated extracts from the aromatic part of the plant. They are wholly natural molecular substances which when diffused in the air are transmitted to the part of the brain that controls memory and emotional response. When used topically they are highly effective due to their ability to help stimulate the body's natural ability to heal.

    Frequently Asked Questions:

    What is aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is a holistic therapy that uses essential oils to improve one’s health and psychological well-being. Essential oils are highly concentrated extracts from the aromatic parts of herbs, flowers, trees and grasses. Valued for thousands of years, they are totally natural substances that have the ability to positively influence the mind and body.

    How are essential oils used?
Because essential oils are highly concentrated, they need to be used with care. Apply them by the drop. The general rule is to dilute them before using topically. They may be diluted in carrier oils, lotions and hair care products, added to a bath, diffused in the air using an aroma lamp or diffuser, or added to water in a spray bottle. Select essential oils with similar properties and blend together to create your own unique aromas.

    How long do they last?
Most essential oils will last approximately one to two years or more if properly stored. To preserve your oils, always store them in a tight container in a cool place. Heat will cause the oils to evaporate and the light will alter them chemically, reducing their effectiveness. Citrus oils are an exception; they will start to oxidize after a year. They can be preserved longer with refrigeration or adding vitamin E. There are some oils, such as Patchouli, Vetiver and Sandalwood, that only get better with age.

    What is steam distillation?
Steam distillation is the most common way to extract an essential oil. The plant material is placed in the chamber of a still and subjected to concentrated steam; the steam passes through the aromatic capsules of the plant, causing them to release the essential oil. The aromatic steam now carrying the essential oil droplets then passes through a tube surrounded by cold water which causes the steam to condense back to water. Because of a difference in weight, the essential oil and distilled water separate and the oil is siphoned off. The water is collected after this process is referred to as a hydrosol or floral water. The quality of the final products are dependent on the quality of the plant material and the distillation equipment used as well as the skill of the person distilling.

    What is cold pressed?
Typically employed on citruses, the essential oil is mechanically pressed out of the rind of the fruit. This method is also known as "expression."

    What is an absolute?
The exquisite fragrance of some flowers is spoiled by heat using steam distillation, therefore, other means of extraction are used. An absolute is one of those means and is obtained by immersing the flowers in a solvent (usually hexane) which produces a waxy substance known as a concrete. The solvent is then removed from the concrete resulting in a thick oil known as an absolute which contains the essential oil properties from the flowers.

Can I use essential oils internally?
No. Wyndmere Naturals never recommends internal use of essential oils. Essential oils are very concentrated and, therefore, can be potentially toxic if taken internally. Also, ingesting oil is very dangerous because some of the oils are skin and mucous membrane irritants. Wyndmere's oils are considered therapeutic and research indicates the concentrated nature of pure oils is more effective when used in a room diffuser or applied topically after diluting 1%-3% in a carrier oil.

Can I use essential oils if I'm pregnant?
Yes, however you should do so with caution. It is suggested avoiding the use of essential oils during the first trimester, and then use only a 1% dilution (or less) for the duration of the pregnancy. Oils that are suggested as safe are Geranium, Grapefruit, Mandarin, Neroli, Tangerine and Ylang Ylang.

Are essential oils safe to use on children or the elderly?
Yes, but it is suggested that no more than 1% dilution be used due to children and elderly sensitivities. Examples of oils which are safe to use on children are Chamomile Roman, Lavender, Myrtle, Neroli, Petitgrain and Rose. They can be diffused into a child's bedroom, added to the bath, or combined with a carrier oil or unscented lotion and massaged very gently into the skin.

    Quality Assurance
The therapeutic quality of an essential oil is affected by many factors. The quality of the plant material is extremely important. Plants that are indigenous to an area are generally of higher quality than those commercially grown elsewhere. The weather and environmental growing conditions affect the quality of the harvest. Oil quality even varies within a growing season if there are multiple harvest times. The elevation at which the plants are grown can affect quality and yield, for example when growing lavender. How and when the plant is harvested and how long it sits before being distilled are also critical factors. For example, the essential oil from Melissa officinalis is lost if the plant sits more than a few hours.

Quality begins with the plant itself. Plants that are thriving in their native habitat, harvested under the proper conditions and extracted by talented and capable distillers will produce the highest quality essential oil. Wherever possible, Wyndmere purchases essential oils extracted from plants that are indigenous and either grown organically, ethically wildcrafted or pesticide free. The company imports oils that are specifically used in hospitals, hospices and by aromatherapists. The oils have been consistently purchased from the same growers since the company's inception. The oils are purchased frequently to ensure freshness and bottled in small batches so they don't sit in a warehouse for long periods of time before being shipped to you. The product labels are informative and include the common name, botanical name and the country of origin. Wyndmere believes customers should know everything about the essential oils they are using for their health and well-being.  Wyndmere does not test any of its products on animals, nor do the products contain any animal ingredients.

In addition to the health and vigor of the plant, the talent and capability of the distiller is also an important ingredient in essential oil production.  In fact, it is probably more important than the quality of the equipment. The role of the distiller is to extract the oil in a manner which keeps it as close to the chemical composition of the plant as possible. Some brilliant oils can be obtained from some of the most basic equipment if the plant material is excellent and the operator conscientious.

Wyndmere is a green company; they recycle and reuse wherever possible.

    Suggested Use

Use in diffusers or put drops on tissue; add 20 drops per oz. of lotion or carrier oil or add water in a spray mister.

    How to Use Essential Oils
Because essential oils are highly concentrated, they need to be used with care. Apply them by the drop. The general rule is to dilute them with carrier oils such as jojoba or sweet almond, or an unscented lotion or cream. Select essential oils with similar properties and blend them together to create your own unique aromas and therapies.

Bath: Add no more than 8-10 drops to your bath. Use less if your skin is sensitive. Stir the water briskly to disperse evenly. For a relaxing bath try Lavender, Marjoram, Neroli or Relaxing.

    Massage:
Add 10-20 drops of essential oils per ounce of carrier oil. Use the lesser amount for sensitive skin, children and the elderly. Mix well.

    Inhalation:
Put a few drops of undiluted oils on a tissue and waft under your nose as desired. Carry it with you or place the tissue on your pillow at night.

    Skin Care:
Add 10-20 drops of essential oils per ounce of carrier oil, unscented lotion or cream. Dilute further for children, the elderly, or if skin is sensitive. Mix well before using.

    • Dry Skin -  Rose, Neroli, Geranium, Palmarosa
    • Oily Skin - Lavender, Carrot Seed, Cypress, Bergamot, Ylang Ylang
    • Aged Skin - Carrot Seed, Frankincense
    • Blemishes – Clary Sage, Bergamot, Niaouli, Clearer Skin

Hair Care: Add essential oils of choice to unscented natural shampoos and conditioners. Use 10-20 drops per ounce. Choose oils specific for your hair type. Mix well before using.

    • Normal - Lavender, Rosemary
    • Dry - Geranium, Sandalwood
    • Oily - Cedarwood, Lemongrass, Rosemary
    • Head Lice - Tea Tree, Head Lice B’Gone

Freshen Rooms: Essential oils make ideal room fresheners. Add 20 drops per ounce of water in spray mist bottle. Place undiluted oils in a diffuser or add to a simmering potpourri pot with water. Replenish as necessary.

In the Bedroom - Put a few drops on a tissue and place near your pillow at night. For relaxation try Lavender, Marjoram or Roman Chamomile, Relaxing or Sleepy Time. To create a romantic mood try Ylang Ylang, Rose, Jasmine, Patchouli, Flirtation or Romantic Nights.  Try Eucalyptus, Rosemary, Basil, Niaouli, Tea Tree, or Breathe Blend to help with congestion.

    In the Kitchen -
Put a few drops of Lemon and Eucalyptus in your soft soap by the kitchen sink. Mix well. Use Lemon, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Bacteria Fighter or Household Purifier in rinse water when wiping the table or working surfaces. Add any of the citruses to your dishwater for a natural zing. Soak your washcloths and dishtowels in a mixture of Lemon, Lavender and Tea Tree before washing.

    House Plants:
To fight aphids naturally, spray your plants with a mixture of water and a few drops each of Basil and Lemongrass.

    Laundry:
Add a few drops of your favorite scent to the final rinse. Make sure you add oils to the water and never directly on the clothes. Dry on low heat. Or, put oils on a clean cloth and include with other items in the dryer.

    Car:
Use Peppermint, Grapefruit or Rosemary to help you stay alert. Add Road Rage Relief to a car diffuser or to help you manage anger and irritations associated with commuting.

    More suggestions from Wyndmere customers:

    • Place a drop of your favorite pure essential oil or synergistic blend on your yoga mat to enhance deep breathing, concentration and meditation.
    • Mix Rose with heavy cream or 1/2 & 1/2 (milk) for a night time facial cleanser; particularly good for mature skin.
    • Keep your hydrosol in the refrigerator and enjoy a refreshing facial spritz as needed.
    • Add a few drops of Orange or Mandarin essential oil to liquid dish soap for a refreshing and clean aroma.
    • Place a drop or two of Mentally Sharp on the cardboard backing to a notebook.
    • Place a couple of drops of your favorite blend on the inside of the toilet paper roll.

For every ounce of carrier oil, use the following as a general guideline for the desired essential oil percentage:

    • 1% = 6 drops
    • 3% = 18 drops
    • 5% = 30 drops
    • 10% = 60 drops

For Wyndmere oils already diluted 10% in Jojoba:
To further dilute to a recommended 3% therapeutic level, add a full bottle (10ml) of "diluted in Jojoba" essential oil to one ounce of desired carrier oil or lotion.

    Warnings

Keep out of the reach of children and away from eyes. Use caution if pregnant. Highly concentrated. Always dilute before use on skin. For external use only.

Safety/Precautions: Essential oils and synergistic blends are for external use only. Call the Poison Control Center if ingested. Do not use them directly on the skin. Always dilute in a carrier oil or unscented lotion before using topically. Test on a small patch of skin first. Keep oils tightly closed and away from children. Essential oils are not to be used without seeking medical advice if pregnant, epileptic, or if you have high or low blood pressure. Always keep away from the eyes. Should oil get into the eyes, wash thoroughly with water for 15 minutes.

Wyndmere never recommends internal use of essential oils. Essential oils are highly concentrated and can be potentially toxic if taken internally. Also, ingesting oils is very dangerous because some of the oils are skin and mucous membrane irritants. Wyndmere oils are therapeutic grade and research indicates that because of the concentrated nature of pure oils, they are much more effective through inhalation using a room diffuser or topical absorption using a 1%-3% dilution.

Storage: To preserve your oils, store in a cool and dark location. Keep the bottles airtight. Shelf life can be from one year to a couple of years, depending on the oil. A top note citrus oil like Lemon may lose its essence quicker than a base note like Patchouli, which only gets better with time.

    Ingredients

100% Pure essential oils of Citrus sinensis (Orange), Litsea cubeba (Maychang), Cananga odorata (Ylang Ylang), Citrus bergamia (Bergamot), Vetiveria zizanoides (Vetiver).
