About Shea Moisture
Sofi Tucker started selling Shea Nuts at the village market in Bonthe, Sierra Leone in 1912. By age 19, the widowed mother of four was selling Shea Butter, Black Soap and her homemade hair and skin preparations all over the countryside. Sofi Tucker was our grandmother and SheaMoisture is her legacy. Our products are based on her original concoctions and her years of teaching us to do it right. I absolutely love this as a preventative diaper ointment. My daughter was a preemie, and was in the NICU for a couple of months. During her stay, this was my diaper ointment of choice. The nurses told me how amazing it is that she did not get a diaper rash, and they all love the smell. It smells like doughnuts to me, haha. Light, creamy scent. It is a nice and thick ointment that lasts a long time even with daily use. I love it!
