THE M FOUNDATION:
The M Foundation is a revolutionary non-profit organization that inspires young athletes to lead healthy lifestyles and to perform their best - both within and outside the competitive arena. The mission of the organization is to educate and to inspire. The M Foundation educates through research and awareness programs, led by leading health scientists like Dr. Brian Adams. And it inspires through activation and awards programs - most notably through The M Awards, which are championed by the Foundation's remarkable and growing group of elite athletes.

THE M AWARDS:
The M Awards recognize "Athletes on a Mission" - high school athletes who are exemplary role models in their communities. In its first year (2010-2011), The M Foundation recognized over 40 high school student-athletes throughout the country with The M Award.

The M Awards include weekly Bronze Award winners, monthly Silver Award winners, and an annual "Student Athlete on a Mission" Gold Award winner. Elite athlete role models including Serena Williams, David Wright, Mia Hamm, Dwyane Wade and others are actively involved in selecting The M Award recipients throughout the year.

Each qualifying high school student-athlete will complete a short application about their athletic achievements, leadership and the ways in which they "give back" to their community. Selected athletes will be awarded one of three levels of recognition, which are collectively referred to as The M Awards, based on athlete selection and fan voting.
