Freeze-Dried Cat Food by Stella & Chewy's
Stella & Chewy's Freeze-Dried Cat Food Yummy Lickin' Salmon & Chicken Dinner 12 oz. (340 g)
Stella & Chewy's Freeze-Dried Cat Food Yummy Lickin' Salmon and Chicken Dinner is 100% complete and balanced nutrition, made with raw, farm-raised cage-free chicken and raw, wild Alaskan salmon, plus organic fruits and vegetables in tasty nuggets that kitties naturally crave! It may come as a surprise, but your cute kitty is still a carnivore. She must consume meat to survive. That’s why every Stella & Chewy’s Cat Dinner is made with raw, natural meat, poultry or fish, without added hormones or antibiotics, sourced from USDA-inspected facilities. Chick, Chick Chicken Dinner, for example, contains farm-raised chicken as the first ingredient. Plus just the right amount of taurine, which is essential for feline health. Just like all Stella & Chewy's products, it’s made without grain, fillers, artificial preservatives or colorings. They don’t even add sugar or salt! And every ingredient they use is sourced from reputable suppliers.
Feline fact: A cat’s body is approximately 60% water. It’s essential for them to stay hydrated, so they need to drink water often. Don’t leave it up to your cat to hydrate itself, as cats generally aren’t big water drinkers. Rehydrate the freeze-dried nuggets with warm water before feeding.
Freeze-drying is a process that enables you to remove the moisture from products without cooking. The product is first frozen and then put into a freeze dryer. Inside the freeze dryer, powerful pumps create a vacuum and extremely cold temperatures. Very low levels of heat are applied to the shelves on which the trays of product sit, enabling the ice within the meat to "sublimate" directly into water vapor, skipping the liquid stage. The product changes from frozen to freeze-dried without ever being thawed or cooked, thereby retaining all of the nutritional value of raw meat, minus the water. With Stella & Chewy's Freeze-Dried Dinners and Treats, you get the best of both worlds; the benefits of raw food with the convenience of a dry food.
At Stella & Chewy's, they're dedicated to the simple proposition that pets should be healthy and happy every day of their lives. Just as their love is unconditional, so should the care they receive and the quality of what they eat. They also believe that dogs and cats deserve to thrive on pure, simple, minimally processed food – the way nature intended. That’s why Stella & Chewy's natural dinners aren't cooked like most commercial pet foods, and why every patty is made with select organic produce and raw, USDA-inspected meat.
But the first concern you probably have about feeding a raw diet is the safety of your family and pet. So you'll be pleased to know that Stella & Chewy’s products are produced with exclusive SecureByNature food safety process (patent pending), designed to make them safe from harmful bacteria naturally, while retaining the food’s nutrient value and flavor.
Their commitment to quality starts with the ingredients. Every Stella & Chewy's product is made with raw, naturally raised meat, poultry or fish, sourced from USDA-inspected facilities, without added hormones or antibiotics. Chewy’s Chicken Dinner, for example, contains raw, farm-raised chicken as well as organic cranberries, carrots, apples, spinach, broccoli, beets, squash and pumpkin seed. Just like all of Stella & Chewy's products, it's made without grain, fillers, artificial preservatives or colorings. They don't even add sugar or salt! And every single ingredient they use is sourced from reputable suppliers.
Nutrition as nature intended.
Commercial pet food is one of the most highly processed products on the planet. Prepared at extreme temperatures, much of its nutritional value is literally cooked away. In contrast, Stella & Chewy's products are natural and raw, which many veterinarians believe is better for pets. Because the closer foods stay to their natural state, the better they are. Plus, all of their dinners and treats are made with real, raw meat. So they’re full of flavors that dogs naturally crave.
Why a raw diet might be right for your pet.
Pet owners and veterinarians tell us that a raw diet has helped improve appetite and digestion, healthy skin and coat, stamina and vitality, and helps support a healthy immune system.
The first raw meals and treats that are safe for your family and pet.
Of course, Stella & Chewy's knows that you're concerned about bringing a raw diet home for your pet. So you'll be pleased to know that Stella & Chewy's products are produced with their exclusive SecureByNature food safety process (patent pending), designed to make them safe from harmful bacteria naturally while retaining the food's nutrient value and flavor. Plus, every batch they make is tested before packaging.
Hydrostatic High Pressure (HHP) is a technology that "puts the squeeze" on food pathogens without cooking out vital nutrients or changing the natural taste. It's based on the discovery that bacteria cannot survive at pressures five times those found at the deepest sea level. To date, HHP is the only scientifically recognized pasteurization process that does not use heat or irradiation to accomplish this. But that's just one of the steps they take to protect the health of your family and pet.
All Stella & Chewy's products are produced, from start to finish, at their own federally-inspected plant in Muskego, Wisconsin. They're so confident in the quality and safety of their products, the test results are posted on the Stella & Chewy's website!
Clean ingredients: All Stella & Chewy's farmers and suppliers provide Letters of Guaranty stating that their meats and produce are fresh, are unadulterated and in full compliance with all applicable federal regulations.
Clean machines: Stella & Chewy's goes far beyond the letter of the law when it comes to keeping their operation clean. Unlike many pet food companies, they clean and sanitize equipment at the end of every day.
HACCP compliance: Stella & Chewy's strictly follows Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Guidelines, a prevention-based food safety system established by the FDA and USDA.
When Marie Moody rescued Chewy from an animal shelter, he was a severely sick pup. She put him on a raw meat diet upon a veterinarian's advice. Chewy recovered and he and his best friend, Stella, thrived on this diet.
Marie's experience with Chewy taught her that the right food (and a lot of love) can promote a pet's health and well-being. But, the more she learned about animal nutrition, the less she could understand why there wasn't a commercial product as good as what she could make at home. So with the help of veterinary nutritionists, Marie Moody created Stella & Chewy's.
Today, you can find Stella & Chewy's products in pet and specialty stores throughout North America and on many online outlets. But no matter how big this growing business gets, they'll remain firmly committed to improving the health and happiness of pets. They're not only striving to make a difference in the quality of life of your pet, but to save the lives of less fortunate dogs and cats. To that end, Stella & Chewy's donates a percentage of their annual profits and products to animal rescue groups and no-kill animal shelters.
Serve as is, or rehydrate by adding warm water. You should always provide access to water. When transitioning, mix Stella & Chewy's with your current brand for the first 5-7 days.
