A : All Giovanni pH balanced shampoos and conditioners will gently cleanse and condition without drying or stripping most natural and color treated hair. Giovanni uses mild gentle surfactants (foaming agents) and their products contain no sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates, or other harsh chemicals found in many brands.
Q: Are Giovanni's products hypoallergenic?
A: Hypoallergenic is a term coined by advertisers (based on the Greek prefix hypo meaning "below normal" or "slightly") and first used in a cosmetics campaign in 1953. Any consumer could at any time, find themselves allergic to any ingredient. Giovanni uses ingredients that are mild and plant based so allergic reactions are rare. My hair is very soft and manageable when I use this product.

Great conditioner that has none of the bad stuff in it, this is the best shampoo and conditioner I have ever used, way better than the salon brands (like Redken and Joico) that I used to use! Make sure you read the labels of other sulfate free and "natural" product lines which can still contain other bad ingredients you should avoid using. Works great for my long, wavy hair that I wash and condition daily. My hair is left super soft and it doesn't weigh my hair down at all. The scent is light and pleasant and it smells sort of like summer in a bottle to me, kind of coconut, nutty, sun tan lotion-ish in a good way. But the scent doesn't linger at all (I wish it did) and it is completely gender neutral. My fiancee even switched to this shampoo and conditioner too.

Light, coconut smell which doesn't linger in your hair. Rinses out nicely. I have very thick, curly hair and was hoping this would really help with shine and frizz, but it didn't do any better than the other Giovanni conditioning products I use.

This is great when it is very humid(helps to contol frizz) I have very fine dense hair and it adds body and shine.

I have been very pleased with this product. It performs above expectations. My hair is smooth and shines, and with less tendancy to frizz. I find it best to leave the product in my hair for as long as possible before rinsing.

Like the 2Chic shampoo, this stuff leaves hair shiny and in great condition. I've spent way too much money trying to get my long gray hair to shine and flow, and this product really gets the job done.

Smells nice, though this is not the deep conditioner I was looking for. Good for the price point though.

I use product multiple ways: co-wash, condition, deep-condition, and leave-in. This was the second product I tried after cutting my relaxed ends. I love that it moisturizes my hair and makes tight coils silkier and more moisturized than they ever were with a relaxer. It also makes my hair easily detangled and shiny. Definitely a staple product for me.
