Shikai Borage Therapy Advanced Formula Lotion Fragrance Free provides relief for more than just ordinary dry skin. It was specifically developed for those who suffer from red, irritated & itchy skin. Advanced Formula lotion contains a blend of four highly effective natural ingredients. Colloidal oatmeal, rooibos extract and shea butter for immediate moisturizing and soothing itch relief; and therapeutic levels of borage oil for deeper cellular level healing. It is safe, extra mild, and tolerated even by the most sensitive skin.

How does Borage Therapy work?
Many people have dry skin that just won't go away and isn't relieved with traditional moisturizers. This is why they have created ShiKai Borage Therapy. These products have an ingredient so effective, it's been proven in medical journals again and again. In other words, it really works.
Borage oil, extracted from the seeds of the borage plant, is a natural source of gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA), an important OMEGA-6 fatty acid which is required for healthy skin cell membranes. Without sufficient GLA, cells can't retain enough moisture. This can result in dry skin and other chronic skin problems.
Borage oil penetrates deep, delivering GLA and its benefits directly to the cells. As a result, skin retains more moisture and is healthier.
About ShiKai
ShiKai began 40 years ago. With a vision, hard work, and determination, it’s grown into the company it is today. Dr. Dennis Sepp, an organic and medicinal chemist, began exploring the unique properties of certain plants and their benefits for hair and skin. His first studies were done with shikakai, a plant which grows in India and is well known for it’s ability to clean hair, leave it silky, soft and shiny, and not dry the hair or scalp.
The result was a shampoo which was an immediate hit with friends, family, and local health food stores. Thus, in 1970, the original ShiKai Shampoo was created and a new company formed. Today ShiKai has more than 50 products which are made, start to finish, at the ShiKai facilities in Santa Rosa. Dr. Sepp continues to oversee the formulation and manufacture of all items.

Purified water (aqua), rooibos (aspalathus linearis) extract safflower (Carthamus tinctorus) seed oil, glyceryl stearate (vegetable emulsifier), glycerin jojoba (simmomdsia chinensis) seed oil, borage (borago officinalis) seed oil, cetyl alcohol (vegetable wax), colloidal oatmeal (Avena sativa), vitamin E (tocopherol) acetate, dimethicone, shea butter (butyrospermum parkii fruit), phenoxyethanol, ethylhexyl glycerin.

Has really helped my dry, itchy skin. It's cruelty free and free from animal products which makes it even better!

Very nice, thick, non-greasy, and non-sticky lotion. It has an usual peach color, but rubs in totally clear. I use it to help with itchy pregnancy skin. It doesn't completely solve my skin issues (including eczema), but it feels really good, and possibly allows me to go longer stretches between needing to use more toxic medicinal creams.

Great moisturizer. It's thick but not greasy and absorbs quickly. I even used this lotion on my very sensitive face (I have combination skin). I was surprised that the lotion really calmed down my skin's irritations. All red was gone after I used it only twice. I like that it has no fragrance because I can always add a couple of drops of essential oil of my choice if I want to. I will buy this product again.

I love this Lotion. I have been using it for 6 months. I use it on my face,neck,chest and arms. It got rid of dryness in the winter and some of my lines are not as noticeable.

We have used the borage hand creams for years and this one is even better.

I work in a hospital, and wash my hands every 15 minutes. This is the only product that protects my skin and prevents cracking.

This is the best lotion that I have found yet for very dry skin!

Nice, but I don't feel that it is as moisturizing as some of my other lotions.
