Ultra Enterprises Raw Thyroid 200 mg. is freeze-dried glandular content. The Thyroid Gland is one of the most significant of the endocrine glands which produces secretions that regulate many basic processes of the body. It lies in the front part of the throat along the windpipe. The thyroid gland controls how quickly the body uses energy, makes proteins, and controls how sensitive the body should be to other hormones. It participates in these processes by producing thyroid hormones. These hormones regulate the rate of metabolism and affect the growth and rate of function of many other systems in the body and are synthesized from both iodine and tyrosine. The thyroid also produces calcitonin, which plays a role in calcium homeostasis. Good value. Recommended by my naturopath. So far, it has helped but don't know in the long run. Will let you know later!

I am on thyroid medication but my symptoms were not completely relieved. Increasing the medication did not help... it made some symptoms worse. So, I decided to try something else... I found a variety of thyroid supplements and started with a vitamin, mineral, herbal mix that was supposed to nourish the thyroid. After 30 days and no improvement, I moved on to a multi-glandular. That product created dry, itchy patches on my hands. I stopped that... patches went away immediately. Ultra Enterprises Raw Thyroid was my 3rd product attempt... I've taken it for about 3 weeks now. I have more energy and less problems with my skin. I only take 1-2 per day. I'm very pleased and will continue. Thanks for reading! Hope it helps.
