Carlson Elite Omega-3 Gems contain 1250 mg of a concentrate of fish body oils from deep, cold water fish which are especially rich in the important Omega-3's EPA and DHA. What is Omeaga -3 Fish Oil?
Oil from fish contains eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA); both are omega-3 fatty acids.
Where is Omega-3 Fish Oil Found?
EPA and DHA are found in mackerel, salmon, herring, sardines, sablefish (black cod), anchovies, albacore tuna, and wild game. Cod liver oil contains large amounts of EPA and DHA. Fish oil supplements typically contain 18% EPA and 12% DHA, though more purified (i.e., higher in EPA and DHA) fish oil supplements are sometimes available. In addition, DHA is available in a supplement that does not contain significant amounts of EPA.

Been buying this for a long time now. I use it with kids right now. They both just chew it a little, suck out the oil and spit the capsule into the garbage. Son isn't exactly thrilled to take it, but does and my usually more picky daughter takes it no problem. She says it tastes like tea. I hope it really is as free of toxins as it claims! After about three months on these my son showed marked improvement in his spelling abilities and now after a year, his math is looking better as well. We'll keep the kids on this. I almost wish it didn't have such a strong lemon scent though. Didn't work to hide it in food at all so it's a good thing they can take it straight. Would be nice to be able to put it into a food or drink and have it not be noticed. That's the only down side.

These are very large capsules but strangley enough, very easy to swallow because of the soft gel. I don't burp them or taste fish at all. Sometimes I can taste the lemon. Take them with a meal.

Kids love these, no oder, taste good, etc.
