Green Toys Inc. makes an awesome line of classic children’s toys constructed from recycled plastic and other environmentally friendly materials. This helps reduce fossil fuel use and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improving the overall health and happiness of the planet. They believe the world would be a much better place if everyone said “please” and “thank you", cell phones didn’t ring during movies, and all toys were fun, safe, and made from environmentally friendly materials. Since it’s probably no use holding our breath for those first two, they’re concentrating on the toys.
Green Toys The Original Recycling Truck Ages 1+ is made of 100% recycled plastic and is eco-friendly. Sort bottles, cans, and paper or just have a blast. Your eco-conscious little one will learn recycling basics while playing with this super cool recycling truck that has a movable recycling bed and open/shut rear door. The awesome eco-design has no metal axles. The Green Toys Recycling Truck is made in the U.S.A. from 100% recycled plastic milk containers that save energy and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Dimensions: 12”L x 6 ¼”W x 7”H. For ages 1 and up.
Toy Safety and Testing Green Toys products are tested by nationally recognized, independent, third-party labs (located, yes, in the USA.) They contain no traceable amounts of Phthalates or BPA. They are also designed without any external coatings, eliminating the fear of lead paint.
Their products pass a plethora of tests, including:
Consumer Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA)
Consumer Products Safety Standard Specification, ASTM F963
California Prop. 65 restrictions on lead & cadmium
FDA regulations for food contact
Voluntary testing for no BPA (Bisphenol-A)
International standards EN71 and ISO 8124
Environmental Packaging Green Toys environmental mission even extends to their packaging. They strive to minimize packaging, and all of their boxes use as little material as possible. All Green Toys products are packaged in recycled corrugated boxes with no plastics, cellophane or twist-ties, and are 100% recyclable. So, not only are they earth-friendly and ready for your recycling bin, they are really easy to open for those little fingers just itching to get at the toys!!
Start Simple: Recycled Plastic Milk Jugs They use recycled milk containers as the main ingredient in creating their toys. Yes, the exact plastic milk jugs that you and your family drink from every day. When you finish your milk and toss the container in the recycling bin, these milk containers are collected at your curb by a local recycling company, who then sorts them from all the other types of plastic. Next, the milk containers are reprocessed into super clean fresh plastic. For you plastic geeks, the plastic material we use is called high-density polyethylene (or HDPE). This material is considered one of the safest, cleanest plastics around.
Made in California, USA: Less Transportation, Less Energy
All Green Toys products are 100% made in the USA. To be more specific, they are produced in California, a state known for strict toy safety and environmental laws. It's cool to buy USA, but also think about this: transportation is one of the biggest contributors to greenhouse gasses. They all know driving less is good for mother nature, but did you ever think about how many miles a toy logs before it ends up in your local store?
Their toys are truly local creations. Every step in the process, from milk container recycling to toy production to final assembly, occurs in California. Our raw materials and toys aren't shipped from overseas, which saves a lot of energy and reduces greenhouse gasses. It also guarantees your toys won't get seasick before they get to your home!

I recommend this product!
Great quality!! However, for the price those little cut-out card board cards that come with it to teach kids recycling are not a realistic teaching tool b/c they are not shaped. If they are meant to be glued to each compartment to show what is being recycled, it could have been better done by drawing it on each compartment. It would have been nice if little realistic containers would have been part of the "outfit"
