Understanding "Good" Bacteria
One of the key ingredients in Lichi LactoSpore Probiotic is the LactoSpore that packs a powerful supplement. According to the Sabinsa Corporation, “Lactobacilli through their metabolic processes prevent the growth of putrefactive organisms by competitive inhibition, the generation of a non-conducive acidic environment and the production of bacteriocins. They improve the digestibility of ingested food constituents and the bio-availability of nutrients, possess hypocholesterolemic activity and enhance the immune response.” In essence, LactoSpore helps the digestive system more thoroughly, making Lichi LactoSpore Probiotic your magic weapon in a healthy lifestyle!

Due to processed foods, unbalanced diets, and antibiotics, most people do not have enough good bacteria in their bodies, especially in their digestive systems. While antibiotics help the body recover from infections, they also deplete the body of the essential bacteria needed to run effectively. Keeping a balance between “good” and “bad” bacteria means supporting an immune system that can fight off illness or infections. Therefore, it is crucial to supplement one’s diet with probiotics.
They promote a healthy digestive system and keep the immune system strong and resilient. This special strain of lactic-acrid producing bacteria is known for its longevity and anti-aging benefits.
Probiotics are an essential part of a healthy lifestyle and can be found in natural dairy products like cottage cheese, yogurt, and certain cheeses. However, the typical diet of an average person is void of these essential probiotic-rich foods, making the individuals susceptible to a range of illness.
How Lichi Super Fruit Works
Many things affect energy levels such as age, health, diet, exercise and stress. Maintaining energy is an important part of losing excess weight and body fat, since you want to be able to get the most out of your exercise routine. Green Tea and Cayenne are two ingredients in LichiTM that are known for increasing energy and body temperature. When combined with a controlled, healthy diet and work-out regimen, these factors are thought to help facilitate the weight loss and fat burning process.
The natural ingredients in Lichi can assist in managing caloric intake. Part of reaching weight loss goals is to be mindful of the amount of calories taken in and the amount of calories metabolized. When taken correctly, the ingredients in Lichi such as Cinnamon bark extract, Magnesium and Peppermint oil, can help your body recognize when it has eaten enough by controlling blood sugar levels, aiding in nutrient absorption, and assisting digestion. These things help with portion control when you eat, so that it takes less food to feel full and satisfied after a meal. Being overweight is a direct result of both overeating and eating too quickly. When we eat and become full after a meal our stomach sends a message to the brain telling us that we are full and to stop eating. Essentially our brain receives this message and turns off our appetite and food cravings. However, when we eat too fast we often become over full before this signal can be sent. Taking Lichi as directed can help prevent individuals from overeating.
Digestion and Nutrient Absorption
For our bodies to work efficiently it is important that we get the most out of the foods and supplements we eat. The natural ingredients in Lichi increase our body’s ability to break down and digest foods. When food is digested properly, food is broken down into small molecules, which increases the absorption rate. This helps us get the most out of the foods we eat. By more effectively digesting foods, our bodies will receive the nutrients it needs in smaller quantities of foods. This in turn also helps reduce the amount of calories that need to be ingested.
What’s Your Body Type? An Individual Approach to Good Health
These days, there are many so many opinions and options for us to try, in order to stay fit and healthy. With so many choices coming at us from every angle, how do you choose one? What most people don’t realize is that you need to figure out what works for YOU! That might mean that the “no-carb cabbage diet” your neighbor lost 15 pounds on won’t work for you! A common misconception is that healthy eating, exercise, and lifestyle choices are the same for everyone. When our body types vary so drastically from individual to individual, how could this possibly be the case? The answer is, it is not.
There are 3 basic body type categories that most of us fall into. Some of us are even combinations of 2 different types. Figuring out what your body type is and what your personal needs are is one of the first steps to weight loss success and maintaining optimal health and fitness.
Get a piece of paper, and write down the letters as you answer each question. Then, you will add up the reoccurring letters. The dominant letter that appears will identify your body type.
If you have the same number of 2 different types (ie. A/B or B/C), that’s ok and very common, just take both into consideration when devising your long-term plans and goals. Even numbers in all 3 are less common, but you can’t rule that out! If you find that you are evenly matched in more than one category, just identify in which ways, and follow the recommendations for those traits.
Once You Have Identified Your Type…
Your body type is based on your physical make-up. Since this varies from person to person, each type reacts differently to nutrition and exercise. In order to achieve your goals and ultimate results with your diet and exercise routine, you need to know your body type, and what healthy habits best suit its needs.
Type A: The Skinny Guys & Gals
Type A individuals are what would be described in Western fitness thought as Ectomorphs. They are lean, thin and skinny with small bones, slender joints and muscles. They have a fragile, delicate and linear physique. Type A bodies generally need to work really hard to build muscles, gain strength and gain weight. They have a super-fast metabolism, and can usually have erratic eating behaviors. In their younger years, they are known to eat large quantities of food often and not gain weight. This can continue throughout life, but more often as they enter their mid to late twenties, things like poor food choices can catch up with them, as well as stress or illness, which can cause our Type A friends to gain weight in “problem areas”, most commonly, the belly.
Type A people should eat small meals 5-6 times a day and include 2-3 servings of grains, nuts & seeds, minimally processed dairy products, oils, and 1-2 servings of vegetables, meats and/or eggs in their diet. Best exercises for these folks are low impact activities and core strengtheners to protect their joints and spine. Yoga, swimming, Pilates, abdominal exercises, bike riding, and cardio on the Elliptical Machine are some of the recommended activities that best suit our Type A person’s needs. Despite their seemingly high energy, it sometimescomes in short spurts and as a result, they have a tendency to tire easily and to overexert themselves.
Type B – The Average Joe or Jane
Type B are the people who are truly blessed with the best body type – if they take good care of themselves! Referred to as Mesomorphs here in the U.S., Type B has well-defined muscles, nicely shaped/developed bones and a perfect physique if they work at it! Their frame is perfect to carry a fit and athletic build. When they gain muscle, it tends to distribute evenly. Unfortunately this means that fat distributes evenly as well. This means our B boys and girls need to be super-mindful if they have been over indulging or exercising less. When weight distributes all over your body, you may not notice right away, which can result in more weight gain than just a couple of pounds.
Type B people are full of energy and capable of a lot of physical activity, so they should take advantage of it!
They have strong digestive function, and strong appetites. Between their medium physique, strong, well-built bodies, sharp minds, and good concentration powers, Type B’s have all it takes to succeed and excel on a healthy diet and exercise regimen with little struggle! Ideal diet for Type B individuals would be to eat around 4 smaller meals a day, and drink lots of water and fluids (not including soft-drinks or alcoholic beverages). Fruits, vegetables, grains, beans and dairy are best foods for Type B people to be consumed in 2-3 servings a day. About 3 servings weekly of fish, nuts and seeds will benefit them as a supplement to their diet as well. They should limit intake of meat and eggs to 2 servings per week, and avoid oily foods.
Exercise for our Type B friends should include lots of stretching, as flexibility is often not one of their strongest qualities. Yoga, pilates, and other core strengthening exercises should be incorporated with a frequent cardio regimen, and can include moderate weight training or circuit training. Other favorites of the Type B body tend to include biking, rock climbing, jumping rope and swimming.
Type C- The Curvy Class
For Type C individuals, it is difficult to lose weight, or keep weight off, and are often overweight. Physically the Type C has a round face, large bones, wide trunks, and big thighs. Labeled Endomorphs on this side of the globe, they find it difficult to burn calories because of slower metabolism and generally have a high degree of fat around their midsections and backsides. They tend to generally be short and stocky, have a slow metabolism and easily become overweight or even obese. They may also suffer from sluggish digestive function. Once they are committed to being the healthiest and best they can be, they have the most energy of all 3-body types. Their energy is, like them, slow and steady, so a gentle to moderate exercise routine is best at first so they don’t run out of gas.
Type C’s need to eat small meals frequently in order to regulate metabolism an intake. Portion control is very important to consider, without depriving themselves. Believe it or not, eating too little will only make this body type retain fat longer. Type C’s should restrict their intake of grains to no more than 2 servings per day. They should consume more protein-rich vegetables and beans (2-3 servings per day). Proteins help in maintaining lean muscles and keep you satiated for longer hours. This being said, it’s still a good idea to limit dairy and red meat to 2 servings per week. Avoiding sweeteners and over-use of condiments is also recommended.
Type C people can benefit from cardiovascular workouts and weight training and, as a result, can build muscle quickly. The ideal exercise routine for Endomorphs would include cardio and weight training with lower weights and increased repetitions. Other exercises such as Pilates, Yoga and Aerobics can be extremely beneficial.
Now that you’ve figured out what your basic body type is, it is time to put what you have learned about yourself into practice! By identifying your type, you can now identify the foods you should eat, the frequency in which you should eat them, and begin to build a meal plan! Planning meals and controlling portions and servings is key in achieving your health and/or weight loss goals.
Speaking of planning, this is also the time to figure out when your best times to exercise are, and pencil them into your calendar. Now you get started! Keep a diary every day of what you eat, what physical activities you do, how you feel, and what your weight is, if weight loss is one of your goals! You might even want to start a blog! Pay attention to things like the color/texture/elasticity of your skin. Being the body’s largest organ, your skin is usually the first to show signs of results! If you are feeling really confident, you may even want to take the 30 Day Lichi Challenge!
Take the Challenge!
The Lichi Super Fruit Family invites you to take the 30-Day Lichi Diet Challenge! In 30 days, with Lichi Super Fruit Diet, proper nutrition and exercise, you can be well on your way to your weight loss goals!
How Does the Challenge Work?
Keep a journal or a blog to track your progress, so you don’t miss a beat! Take a photo of yourself “before”. You can keep this private, but you may not want to when you take your “after” shot on Day 30!
First, identify your body type. You can use Lichi's Body Type Quiz and guidelines if you don’t already know about your physical makeup and its needs.
Weigh yourself and take
your measurements. Do this once a week (if you start on Monday, every Monday). Try not to do it more frequently than that, its easy to get discouraged. Don’t forget that muscle weighs more than fat, so even if your weight does not drop right away, your size might if you are sticking to your plan!
Calculate your BMI (Body Mass Index). This will help you gauge how much you weigh vs. your ideal, healthy body weight (between 18.5-24.5 percent body fat).
Plan your meals based on your body type’s recommended foods. The average adult should have between 1600 and 2400 calories per day depending on their individual needs. Measure your portions, and try to count calories. This is much easier to do when you plan ahead! Write down each meal, and everything else you eat or drink in between.
Take a look at your schedule for the week and commit to exercising where your schedule allows. If you try to fit it in where you don’t really have the time, you won’t stick to it and you won’t succeed. When you are not exercising, take note of other things you can do to enhance your physical activities! Take the stairs! Do abdominal flexes at your desk! This all counts! Write it down!
Be sure to track all of this day-by-day, either in a personal journal, on your Facebook page, or maybe even start a blog! Make sure you take note of how you are feeling, how you slept, how you look, all of it. What you learn just might help someone else get off on the right foot!

Lychee Legend...Royal, Romantic, Remarkable.
Lychee, or litchi (Litchi chinensis), is an ancient fruit with a royal and romantic history that goes back more than 2,000 years. Native to China and southeast Asia, rich, luscious lychee was a coveted delicacy of the Chinese Imperial courts and in great demand. In fact, Royal messengers would travel 600 miles to stock lychee for T’ang Dynasty Emperor Hsüan-tsung (Li Longji). This was to ensure his concubine, the lovely Lady Yang Kuei Fei, had a fresh supply of the delightful fruit for her daily diet. It was said her great beauty was in no small part due to lychee’s rich polyphenol content, known to help rejuvenate the skin.
Chinese poets have written odes to lychee; artists have painted it, and porcelain makers ennoble it in their delicate design motifs. Today, the sweet, red, heart-shaped lychee fruit is a symbol of romance, love…and now, good health!
