About Hugo Naturals
Hugo Naturals is an all-natural line that is both exceptionally pure and deliciously pampering. We developed our line of products because we love to create wonderful things for the body that feel fantastic, are good to the planet, and are good for you. We are known for our tireless commitment to quality, purity, and 100% customer satisfaction.
Our product line started out simply enough from handcrafted soaps that were made with all-natural, ingredients and sold at our local Farmer's market. People fell in love with the products and demand grew with word of mouth. The tremendous response encouraged us to expand the line beyond just selling at the local Farmer's market.
Though the company has grown in size from the days selling handmade soaps at the farmers market, we have made a commitment that every product is made with the same care and quality that those first hand-made soaps were created with. That means that every Hugo Naturals product is handcrafted in the USA. We use only the finest ingredients available. Our products are free of petrochemicals, animal fats, parabens, silicones, formaldehyde, hydroquinone, phthalates, propylene glycol, and synthetic surfactants. Our products are never tested on animals, are gluten free and made from sustainable sources that are pure and natural.

Does Hugo Naturals only use natural colors?
Yes. Hugo Naturals quite literally searched the world looking for natural ingredients with colorful properties. Hugo Naturals has discovered that they can use natural colorings from seeds, pulp, algae, chlorophyll, and other completely natural ingredients to produce vibrant colors without the potentially harmful side-effects of artificial ingredients.
How does Hugo Naturals scent their products?
The natural way! Hugo Naturals uses only 100% natural essential oils and botanical extracts. Hugo Naturals does not use water or alcohols in their extracts, but instead uses kosher vegetable glycerin as a base.
How does Hugo Naturals prevent their products from spoiling? Do they use preservatives?
One strategy Hugo Naturals employs is reducing the amount of water contained in their products. The water content of a product is a major factor in spoilage. Due to the low water content Hugo Naturals is able to use all-natural preservatives such as Japanese Honeysuckle extract and rosemary extract. Many of their other ingredients have preservative properties as well. Essentially, Hugo Naturals gives you more for your money and in the process eliminate the need to use chemical preservatives.
Suggested Use
After shampooing, work small amount into hair, concentrating on the ends. Leave on for a minute, rinse well.

Not as moisturizing as I thought it'd be

This conditioner has an extremely strong fragrance. To me it smells like a strong synthetic perfume, although the bottle says that no synthetic fragrances are used. Also, it does not rinse out very well - two people in my house used it and had this comment. It coats the scalp too.

I love this conditioner! You actually don't need to use too much of it, as it has a slightly greasy feel to it, which is good for the more frizz prone hair types. However, it does not leave your hair feeling oily at all- I still have to use a leave anti frizz product afterwards. It's the only conditioner I can find at a reasonable price that scored a 0 on EWG's Skindeep, and I just happen to have the correct hair type for this product. It's lightly scented, which I also prefer. Some people may not like its scent, though.
