Markisa
"Markisa" is a Sumatran orangutan born on February 4th, 1987 at the Oregon Zoo in Portland, OR. She currently resides at the Como Park Zoo & Conservatory in Saint Paul, Minnesota with three other orangutans, "Jambu" her mate, "Amanda," an unrelated adult female, and "Jaya", her son born in 2007.

Markisa is the first Como Zoo orangutan in the zoo's 50+ years of managing orangutans to deliver an infant via caesarean section. More notably, Markisa accepted and took over the care for her infant son, Jaya (shown), when he was healthy enough to return to her at only twelve days old, setting a new record for the fastest return of a C-section orangutan to a first-time mom. Once shy and submissive, Markisa is now a sassy, confident mother.

Do you have any fragrance-free products?

The water used in Chandler Farm's products goes through a softener, purification, UV and filtration process. It is tested daily, and a sample is sent out weekly to confirm that the process is working.
