Mucos Wobenzym PS Professional Strength Highly Active Enzyme Formula - 180 Tablets

Mucos Wobenzym PS is a professional strength highly active enzyme formula made of all natural ingredients. Mucos Wobenzym PS has been a trusted name for systemic enzyme support. Developed by leading scientists and used by millions of people worldwide, the family of Wobenzym products has been proven to be safe and beneficial for overall immune support. Backed by decades of clinical research and published studies, Mucos Wobenzym PS supplies specific enzymes to the body to support immune function, joint, muscle and tendon health, as well as normal wound healing. Compared to Mucos Wobenzym N, Mucos Wobenzym PS provides health professionals with a unique blend of enzymes in an enhanced formula with twice the strength of active ingredients Bromelain, Trypsin, and Rutoside.

    The Functions

In the human body, hundreds of chemical reactions occur during the course of normal metabolic processes. Many chemical reactions require significant energy in order to take place, and therefore need a catalyst to allow the reaction to proceed. The catalyst acts to lower the energy needed for the reaction to move forward. In the body, enzymes play the role of the catalyst and allow reactions to take place that otherwise would not occur. The enzyme itself is not consumed in this process and can be utilized again and again. Enzymes are relatively unique to each reaction and different enzymes will catalyze different reactions.

Structurally, enzymes are complex molecules that are comprised of amino acid chains and can sometimes include co-factors which assist the enzyme in the chemical reaction. Some enzymes are sensitive to changes in pH and temperature and can be destroyed if exposed to less than ideal conditions. Wobenzym PS is a systemic enzyme formulation that contains a unique blend of enzymes from both plants and animals that have been clinically studied for supporting numerous processes in the body. Systemic enzyme supplements work directly in the body after they are absorbed in the small intestine, and are not intended to aid in digestion. Consequently, these enzymes can be utilized to assist the body’s various regulatory and communications systems.

What are Enzymes and how are they organized?

Enzymes are protein molecules that control biochemical reactions. They set processes in motion and accelerate them. That is why they are also called biocatalysts. During the transformation of biological material, enzymes are not consumed and as a result, at the end of the reaction, the enzyme remains in its original form.

The German physician William Friedrich was the first to use the term "enzyme" and, since 1897, the term has been adopted by the scientific community to refer to all biocatalysts. Structurally, all enzymes are constructed from amino acids. All protein components in our bodies originate from the same 20 amino acids and the specific sequence of amino acids determines the spatial structure of the enzyme. The sequence of many enzymes and proteins make up the genetic information in DNA. Under the microscope, enzymes seem to act in a disorganized manner. But the seeming disorder has a method: the linkages between the amino-acid chains of the enzyme (peptide bridges) determine the nature of how an amino acid chain curves, winds, and how the enzyme ultimately looks. Enzymes contained components that are not amino acids, are referred to as co-factors. An example of a co-factor is a specific vitamin.  Without this specific vitamin, certain enzymes would not be able to function correctly.  When this happens it is known as metabolic disturbance.

    How Do Enzymes Work?

Enzymes have an active center. Under a powerful microscope, this is the area that often looks like a depression. Certain materials fit into this depression that cause the enzyme to convert and change.  In the case of proteolytic enzymes, that are generally referred to as protein-splitting enzymes are protein molecules that attach to the active center dock and divide the overall structure into specific locations. When a substrate is linked to an enzyme, it is called an enzyme-substrate complex. Each enzyme is substrate-specific and catalyzes a small number of reactions, often resulting in enzyme cascades. Enzyme cascades allow multiple controls to occur over a large overall response. If necessary, the reaction can be interrupted at any time. In addition, enzyme cascades provide energy-saving work. Enzymes ensure that a specific balance is established between the substrate and the final product by means of a chemical reaction. Enzymes can achieve only a certain maximum turnover rate (substrate saturation). Increasing the amount of substrates beyond this point can only be implemented if other enzymes are added.

    Enzyme Therapy

Enzymes are natural substances that accelerate and control the metabolic processes in the body. They are of utmost importance for the immune system: they control the balance between activating and inhibiting immune reactions with which the body reacts to pathogens, injuries or harmful environmental impacts. Inflammatory processes play a major role in most of the cases. Inflammatory processes are involved in much more diseases than it has been thought so far, fact which has been proven by recent research. Enzymes can accelerate the course of an inflammation and at the same time reduce swellings, pains and function restrictions. This takes place, for example, through the modulation of cytokines. Just like hormones and neurotransmitters, cytokines are messengers ensuring the communication between the cells of an organism.

Their anti-inflammatory effect also explains the wide range of application of the proteolytic highly active Mucos enzyme combinations:

    • Venous inflammations
    • Inflammations in the ENT area
    • Inflammations of the respiratory organs
    • Inflammations of the urinary and reproductive organs
    • Inflammations of the veins and lymphatic vessels
    • Inflammations in rheumatic diseases
    • Inflammations after injuries
    • Inflammations of the skin
    • Edemas caused by inflammations

    Enzyme Effectiveness

What does "systemic enzyme therapy" mean?
The term "systemic enzyme therapy" describes a treatment, in which enzyme products influence various regulatory and communication systems of the body, more specifically the immune system. A balanced immune system is a prerequisite for good health. In order to ensure the unfolding of the systemic effect of enzyme therapy, active enzyme molecules must be available in the small intestine for the body to use. In order to pass through the acidic environment of the stomach intact, enzyme tablets must be coated in order to reach their appropriate target. Specific enzymes used in systemic enzyme therapy have a particular effect on a target regulatory system in the body. The combination of plant-based enzymes, e.g. bromelain and papain, with animal-based enzymes, e.g. trypsin, chymotrypsin and pancreatin, is both effective and essential to assist the regulation of as many systems in the body as possible.

Where is systemic enzyme therapy used?
Systemic enzyme therapy is used for various areas of application. Enzymes support the body in a number of stress situations, like chronic or acute inflammations, varicose and spider veins, and inflammation after radiation treatment. Taking enzymes can assist the bodys own enzymes. One great advantage to enzyme treatment is that it is nearly side effect free. This preventive method strengthens the patient’s overall immune system, without adding burdening symptoms.

      I recommend this product!
I was introduced to this product for joint inflamation and after just 2 weeks the pain in my feet and joints were reduced, by the end of the first month I had no joint pain and felt much better. I did not reorder right away but after a couple months I've noticed the pain returning, I'm ordering my second box.

      I recommend this product!
I started taking this to speed healing after a knee injury. I was also experiencing pain all over my body, but just assumed it was old age. After taking these for a few weeks I realized that all the body aches and pains had disappeared. I also realized that my seasonal allergies had disappeared. I did more research and discovered that all of this could be related to the enzymes. I've been using Wobezym PS for about 6 months now and my overall health has improved dramatically. Taking Wobeyms is the only thing that changed during that period. For what it's worth, I prefer the Mucos brand Wobeyzms PS over the other brand. More expensive, but I take fewer tablets and they work better for me. Thanks Lucky Vitamin!

      I recommend this product!
I am not sure of total effectiveness as I have had no testing to determine results and came off it too soon. I read info about it from website and was impressed. I took it for inflammation which was taking me over. I have auto immune disease (arthritis as well as Sjogrens). I took this product from mid July until end of Sept. I do know it was helpful with problems-less pain and more energy. Since mid Oct. I was diagnosed with a worse disease and am taking other supplements to combat it. Go to systemicenzymssupport.org for excellent info on what Wobenzymn PS can do for multiple health problems. Deanna
