The Healing Power of Borage
The oil extracted from the borage flower is actually the world's richest source of Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA). This omega-6 fatty acid is vital for the formation and maintenance of healthy skin cells. What is Borage?
BORAGE (borago officinalis), commonly called "starflower", is a well known herb which can be found in almost all temperate regions of the world.
The plant grows 18" to 36" high and spreads 12" to 20" wide. The leaves can become straggly and messy, but its abundant bright blue, star-shaped flowers, which bloom most of the summer, make the plant one of the prettiest and most colorful herbs. It can frequently be found bordering herb and vegetable gardens and it is reported that fields of cultivated borage plants in North America create a vivid green and purple landscape.
Borage is commercially grown for the very valuable oil found in its seeds. The great value of this oil is that it produces the highest yield (up to 24%) of the omega-6 fatty acid, GLA. Among other benefits, GLA is essential for the formation and maintenance of healthy skin cell membranes.

I developed eczema around my eyes during menopause. Although I used a high-quality natural eye cream, I continued to experience intermittent flare ups that weren't triggered by eye makeup usage or anything else I did or didn't do. The only effective remedy was a prescription ointment. I've been using the Borage Therapy Eye Cream for a month. I have not had the redness, itchiness or flakiness that I had lived with for a few years, nor have I needed the prescription ointment, which I didn't like using. Since using this non-greasy cream, my eye area feels moisturized and comfortable and appears younger, since the dryness had accentuated lines. So far, I am very pleased with this cream and recommend it.

Best eye cream on the market. At age 67, I appreciate a product that does what is claims. And this eye cream reduces puffiness, fine lines, and doesn't irritate and make my eyes water. Hooray!

The best eye cream I have ever used so far. The delicate skin around eye area feels very comfortable and moisturized. Wish the product could work for dark circles/bags, but it works as it claims on the label, so definitely recommend this eye cream to people who have dry, sensitive skin with fine lines.

So far so good! It sinks into my skin well and I have noticed an improvement in the dryness starting to show under my eyes. It is a nice size, and I think it will last a long time.

Best eye cream ever, love Shikkai products, I use many of them. I have no reaction and it helps with my dry skin around eye area.
