What is Alum? Is it the same as Aluminum?
Alum is a salt. Aluminum is a mineral. Alum is taken from Bauxite ore. Alum is in no way harmful to your body. Aluminum has been suspected, although not proven, to be harmful. There is absolutely no Aluminum Chlorohydrate in our deodorants. In fact our products are so safe they are used in the purification of water in some countries.
How do I use the product?
It is best to use immediately after bathing while the body is still damp. But if body is dry, then simply wet the stone and apply directly in the area where odor occurs. Then rinse thoroughly.
When will I know when my stone is no longer working?
As long as you rinse the stone and keep it clean, your stone will always be effective. Think of the stone like a bar of soap. A little of the surface wears off after using it each time. The stone, like the soap will continue to get smaller until it simply disappears.
Is it okay to work on other parts of the body?
Sure, works great on feet and any parts of the body where odor might be a problem.
Suggested Use
Simply wet the crystal stone and generously apply to underarm area. Dries immediately. Also works great for foot odor.

My cousin gave me this product. I have allergic reactions (welts under my arms) to any deoderant with Aluminun - even though they are the most effective at controlling odor. This product is fantastic. My underarm welts are disappearing and the odor is gone also. This is better than any deoderant I have EVER used.

This is the most effective deodorant I've used in my life. It is a harder (e.g. stronger) stone than another brand (doesn't crumble and disintegrate), but it will crack if it falls on the floor, and it never lasted me years like some people claim they will. When the stone got too small, I had trouble using it anymore, and when pieces would break off, I also couldn't use them, reducing the life of the deodorant. But it did last months, which is great for the price, making it a good value. This stone doesn't stay on the push-up stick. It would always fall out and I had to use the stone in my hand. Also, you do need to wet it or it will not work. I don't like that it contains alum, but I'm glad it doesn't cause a rash and it's free of so many awful chemicals, like propylene glycol, various alcohols, colorings, and other things.

This is as good as it gets!! And, by the way, it does not contain alum (abbreviation for aluminum). It is pure mineral salts which have been shown to be most effective in blocking oder. I've had mine for 10 months now and used about half of it...and I use it at least once every day. It's so easy to use - just wet it and glide it on. It goes on very easily as long as it's wet. The directions tell you that. I have not had any trouble with it breaking or coming off the holder, but I've never dropped it either. As advertised, it is amazing. I'll never go back to those icky deoderants and never ever to an anti-perspirant!! I want to sweat, but I don't want to stink!! Thai Stone works in just that way-sweat but no oder.

Wonderful product. For those looking for an antiperspirant, this is not it, as it does not stop you from sweating. It does, however, inhibit odor-causing bacteria in sweat, so your sweat does not stink! Make sure to apply after showering/bathing because if the area has an odor, it will stay on the stick as it is unscented. I am a woman and I started having a problem with underarm odor after puberty but since using this everyday, I have had no problem. It is great!!! As an added bonus, no alum or chemicals are in it. I thank the makers of this product.

Great product! I've used it for 2 years now. I live in SC. It's 98 degrees with 98% humidity. I work outdoors and I'm a cyclist. I sweat, but I never stink! I love this stuff! I apply it every time I shower and every time I change my shirt, maybe 3-4 times a day. The product lasts forever and it's worth the effort and cost to be chemical-free.

I've been using the deodorant stones for many years. In the winter I can use it alone but in the summer, personally, I use an additional deodorant spray (Aubrey Organics Calendula) for more protection. These stones last a very long time! I always end up throwing them away before they actually run out - either because it has fallen and chipped too many times or because it retains an odor that I don't like so I eventually throw it away. For this price it's hard to go wrong. It would be nicer to not have to use a 2nd deodorant in the summer but that's my body. I know others that use JUST the stone with no issue.

After I had a hysterectomy, I started experiencing strong underarm odor. I am guessing hormones had something to do with this as I never had this problem before. Nothing, not even prescription strength would last for more than 2 hours. I was not too fond of the chemicals in these deodorants either! I decided to give Thai crystal a shot, and so glad I did!!! My under arms NEVER have an odor anymore and I do not have to worry about chemicals! It also lasts forever, well worth the money! I have had the same crystal for 6 months now. This is a God send!

I've tried many "natural" and organic deodorants, but the Thai Deodorant Stone is incredible! I bought it on a whim, thinking that mineral salts would never work as a deodorant. Boy was I wrong!! Not only does it work well, it is easy to apply and never, ever stains my clothes. It keeps me "fresh" all day, and it lasts a long time, too. My first one lasted over a year. I'm on my third, and when it runs out, I'll buy it again. The Thai Deodorant Stone is MY deodorant!!

This seems to work well. It's a little interesting to apply but it does seem to block any odor. At least at this point it does...when the weather warms up I may say differently. I like that it has so few and OK sounding ingredients. It does seem like it will last a long time.
