Jarrow Formulas MSM Sulfur is an organic source of bioavailable sulfur. Sulfur is an antioxidant mineral found in major structural tissues of the body such as cartilage. The sulfur from MSM is used to produce glycosaminoglycans (or mucopolysaccharides) present in proteoglycans such as chondroitin sulfate, dermatan sulfate, and hyaluronic acid. These sulfur containing glycosaminoglycans are found in high concentrations in connective tissues, including joint cartilage, skin and collagen.
MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane)
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is a naturally occurring, organic, sulfur-containing compound related to another sulfur-containing substance, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). MSM is found in small amounts throughout nature and has been detected in small amounts in the blood and urine of humans.
Where is it found?
A precursor of MSM is formed initially by ocean plankton and released into the atmosphere, where it interacts with ozone and sunlight and returns to earth as MSM in rainfall. MSM can be taken up by plants and incorporated into their structure, but no measurement of the MSM content of foods has been done. Supplements containing MSM are available.

I use MSM to help with my yoga practice. It's supposed to help with stretching, and sulfur has been used for ages as a healing agent.

Been using this for over a year - excellent source of MSM

For 7 years been very sick ,doc couldn't find anything wrong. Had headaches, sinus problems, water retention, insomnia. This past June (2012) I found some information on the internet about Candida. I had all the symptoms and most of them severe. I startted treating Candida with antifungal herbs and did quite well. A few days ago I found nfo on the internet about MSM to help with treating Candida. I bought it at a local health food store and within 2 days I was sleeping better at night and able to go back to sleep. Within 4-5 days I got rid of a whole colony of Candida in my stool the most I've ever seen so far at one time and been feeling much much better. I am so happy to have found this product and would highly recommend using this if you have Candida. I started with 1 pill (1 Vitamin C) 3 times a day and for 4 days and then increased to 2 pills 3 times a day. It's amazing the progress I've seen cause I'm not one for following the Candida diet.

A month later I got rid of a lot more Candida at the one time. I find this product is really good and by taking MSM it seems to increase the progress of defeating the Candida. I have servere Candida and have made significant improvement in the past the past 2 months with taking Candida as oppose to just taking anitfungal supplements since June 2012. I highly recommend this product if you are treating Candida (yeast overgrowth in the body).
