Nature's Herbs Fenugreek-Thyme Combo is a specially formulated blend of these two herbs, based on centuries of traditional folk medicine as well as modern research, to help support respiratory health.

Fenugreek seeds have been used for centuries as a spice and herbal remedy; their first recorded use is described on ancient Egyptian papyrus dating back to 1500 B.C. Historically, this nutrient-rich herb has been, and continues to be, used as a digestive aid and to support upper respiratory health, helping to soothe the bronchial area.

Thyme, a member of the mint family, also has a long history for its role in maintaining respiratory health. The herb has been used in European and Chinese folk medicine for centuries.

Although originally from southeastern Europe and western Asia, fenugreek grows today in many parts of the world, including India, northern Africa, and the United States. The seeds of fenugreek are used medicinally.

A wide range of uses were found for fenugreek in ancient times. Medicinally it was used for the treatment of wounds, abscesses, arthritis, bronchitis, and digestive problems. Traditional Chinese herbalists used it for kidney problems and conditions affecting the male reproductive tract. Fenugreek was, and remains, a food and a spice commonly eaten in many parts of the world.

Thyme

This fragrant plant is indigenous to the Mediterranean region of Europe and is extensively cultivated in the United States. The dried or partially dried leaves and flowering tops are used medicinally.

Historical or Traditional Use
Other than its use as a spice, thyme has a long history of use in Europe for the treatment of dry, spasmodic coughs as well as bronchitis. Its antispasmodic actions have made it a common traditional recommendation for whooping cough. Thyme has also been used to ease an irritated gastrointestinal tract. The oil has been used to treat topical fungal infections and is also used in toothpastes to prevent gingivitis.
