Jarrow Formulas Glucosamine HCl Mega 1000 supports healthy joints and connective tissue. Glucosamine is an aminosaccharide synthesized by transamidase enzymes from glucose and an amine group from glutamine. HCl (hydrochloric acid) stabilizes the glucosamine in this product. Glucosamine is a component of joint and intestinal tissue and is involved in the production of synovial fluid which lubricates the joints.Glucosamine is converted to N-acetyl-glucosamine in the intestines by the goblet cells. Glucosamine HCl is SALT FREE. This product is best taken with BioSil™, the only high potency source of orthosilicic acid, the biologically active form of silicon that strengthens joints.
Jarrow Formulas Glucosamine HCl is completely vegetarian and made in the USA by microbiogical fermentation. It does not contain shrimp shell-derived glucosamine.

Glad I can find shellfish-free glucosamine.

I thought they were capsules. Much too large, hard tablets which are difficult to swallow.
