Good Earth Tea For Colds 15 Tea Bags

Good Earth Tea For Colds is a cool, minty, soothing cough suppressant. Good Earth Tea for Colds is a premium herbal tea based on an authentic Swiss traditional formula developed by Father Johannes Kuenzle, a widely known and highly respected Swiss herbalist, pastor, and author, who lived from 1857 to 1945. Father Kuenzle conceived his formulas more than 100 years ago. Good Earth Tea For Colds temporarily relieves cough associated with a cold or inhaled irritants. Tea For Colds has been modernized by the addition of Oil of Peppermint, and the dehydrated juice of Echinacea purpurea herb. Both ingredients are consistent with the quality specifications of the corresponding German Commission E monographs. A natural constituent of Peppermint Oil - Menthol - is a U.S.F.D.A. approved OTC drug, indicated as a cough suppressant.

    • With Echinacea & Meadowsweet
    • Pharmaceutical Quality Herbal Tea
    • Individually Wrapped For Freshness

Good Earth teas are simply about taste. Good Earth's aim was to create a range of organic teas that didn't compromise on flavor. Good Earth selected only premium natural ingredients, grown without the use of artificial pesticides or herbicides. Good Earth thinks the result is a range of richer, more flavorful teas that are good for you and good for the earth.

    Good For The Earth
Good Earth is reducing the environmental impact of their products by removing the plastic over wrap from some of their tea boxes and the boxes are now sealed with 2 small labels. Good Earth uses less materials and the packs are easier to open - what's not to like? This doesn't affect the freshness and safety of Good Earth products as all Good Earth tea bags are individually enveloped for freshness. All Good Earth cartons are produced from 100% recycled board and are printed with soy based inks. Even the tea tags are recycled. Finally, Good Earth is committed to protecting the environment by continuing their support for American Forests, helping to plant another 20,000 trees this year to fight global warming.

    Good Earth History
Good Earth's headquarter facility has been in Santa Cruz, California since it was founded in 1972. One of the first American herbal companies during the early 1970's and responsible for introducing Ginseng Tea to the US health and specialty markets. In the late 1970's it began to develop the trademark teas for the Good Earth Restaurants and launched Good Earth Teas in tea bag form to the California grocery market in 1988. From the Santa Cruz headquarters, Good Earth's staff manages all of the procurement, inventory, blending, packaging, sales and marketing of their signature tea products. Good Earth is one of the leading specialty tea brands in the United States today and was acquired by Tetley US Holdings Limited in October 2005.

    Tea History
Tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world after water. Oriental lore tells us that a distinguished Chinese philosopher first smelled this wondrous aroma when tea leaves fell from the sky into his pot of boiling water. Thus was born the legacy of tea that has endured for centuries. From China to England, from India to America, tea has acquired a vast multitude of followers, leaving its mark on every civilization. Each day, over one and a half billion cups of tea are consumed on the planet. Perhaps no other beverage has been the object of such sanctification and ceremony: in China tea was idealized by poets and codified by tea masters; all the beauty of the Japanese way of life is embodied in its tea ceremony. In Britain "tea time" has dominated daily schedules for centuries. In the New World, the Boston Tea Party sparked off a series of events that changed the course of history.

    About Tea
All true tea - black, oolong and green - comes from an evergreen shrub called Camellia sinensis. Its flavors vary because of where the tea is grown and how it's processed. "Herbal teas" made entirely of herbs, flowers or bark are more accurately called infusions or tisanes. How tea leaves are processed determines how they're classified amassing evidence that tea - especially green tea, the kind that contains the most antioxidants - have many health benefits. Premium quality specialty teas are increasing in popularity. Indications are that specialty teas will grow even more rapidly over the next five to ten years.

Good Earth's Partnership with American Forest
Founded in 1875 by a small group of environmentally conscious citizens, American Forests is the nation's foremost nonprofit conservation organization. From these historic roots, this remarkable organization has carried into the 21st century with the Global ReLeaf 2 campaign, an extension of their 1988 initiative which has been responsible for planting more than 25 million trees in over 500 projects throughout the U.S. and internationally. The re-launch, in response to the ever-growing problems brought on by rising global temperatures, carries the ambitious goal to see 100 million trees planted by the year 2020, a goal that can only be attained through the support of communities, businesses, and individuals. By helping American Forests to restore and protect the life-giving ecosystems of forests, we can help prevent the loss of more trees and improve the quality of life for generations to come.

Good Earth's Contribution to the Cause
Donations from Good Earth will plant over 40,000 trees through the American Forest's projects. The American Forests logo/link will be placed on 7M Good Earth boxes over a period of 1 year. Planting these trees will remove 6,667 tons of CO2 from the atmosphere over a 50 year span - the equivalent of removing 900 automobiles from our highways!

Good Earth is Proud to Support the Work of Original T-Bag Designs
"The donations that Original T-Bag Designs receives at the Good Earth Tea Bag Drive will provide a boost to the South African artists," said Jodee Hetzer, U.S. representative for Original T-Bag Designs. "The artists painstakingly hand-paint every tea bag so each one becomes a real work of art. The work enables them to provide better lives for their families and beauty for the world – all from recycled tea bags."

"Good Earth is excited to be supporting the work of Original T-Bag Designs," said Roberto Avila, Senior Brand Manager, Good Earth. "We hope that those who enjoy our great-tasting variety of richer tasting teas will be inspired to help the artists of Original T-Bag Designs by donating their brewed tea bags at the events."

    About Original T-Bag Designs
The story of Original T-Bag Designs began in 1996 when Jill Heyes moved to South Africa from England. Seeing the poverty in the local informal settlement of Imazamo Yethu, Jill wanted to help. She began teaching some local women crafts. Although they unsuccessfully attempted to sell paper mache and potato printing products, they did not give up. In 2000, Original T-Bag Designs was formed when the artists were able to create artwork from used, brewed tea bags. The original group of artists have become skilled and talented at their craft. T-Bags Designs now employs 15 permanent staff and a number of additional part-time employees. In addition, 10 people with disabilities from within the community are employed to assist with sanding products. The Original T-Bag Designs workshop is a tourist destination, and their products are available for purchase at the workshop, at Cape Town's Waterfront Market, in Europe and the United States.
