About Fresh Baby
Reminiscent of the movie, “Baby Boom”, starring Diane Keaton, Fresh Baby is the inspiration of two sisters, Joan Ahlers and Cheryl Tallman, who live in rural parts of The United States, thousands of miles apart. I used this book (and the accompanying cube trays) for my second child. There were a ton of easy to follow recipes and afterward, you could combine different cubes for other tasty meals for baby. Since this was my second child, I didn't follow the age guidelines and skipped around as well as used different herbs and extracts to introduce her to more complex flavors. I just payed attention to her cues. It was a great way to save money yet give baby fresh, non-processed foods. I also used this in conjunction with baby led weaning (BLW). We gave two cubes a day to daycare, where they mixed with a bit of baby oatmeal and breast milk and at home she ate cut up pieces of whatever meals we were having and I think she liked the variety.
