Carrot Nutritive Night Creme by Burt's Bees
Burt's Bees - Carrot Nutritive Night Creme - 1 oz. (28.5 g)
Burt's Bees Carrot Nutritive Night Cream combines beta carotene and carrot seed oil, letting them work all night to replenish and revive dry, damaged, weather exposed skin, naturally! Get to the root of younger looking skin overnight.
How Carrot Nutritive Night Creme Works
This rich night cream is loaded with natural ingredients like carrot seed oil, vitamin E and rosemary extract. It also includes beta-carotene to nourish, avocado and almond oils to moisturize and aloe vera to soothe and hydrate, all to help you wake up to skin that is renewed and refreshed, naturally. The formula is especially beneficial to sun-drenched skin.
Beta-Carotene: This substance is found primarily in carrots and is used to give personal care products a yellow to orange-red color. The body converts beta-carotene into vitamin A.
Don't Just See Better, Look Better With Carrots
Carrot seed oil is the essential oil extracted from the seed of wild carrots. The oil is steam distilled from the dried seeds and is yellow or amber-colored with a woody, earthy, sweet smell. The essential oil is thought to be regenerative, cleansing and rejuvenating, as well as act as a powerful detoxifier and liver booster.
In skin care products, carrot seed oil is used to rejuvenate mature sun-damaged skin because it is thought to help to stimulate skin cell renewal. As skin gets older, skin cell turnover slows down considerably, making skin look dull and accentuating fine lines and wrinkles. By helping to regulate this turnover cycle, carrot seed oil helps skin not only to look brighter and smoother, like younger skin, it may help restore function so it behaves like younger skin. And that means the benefits last longer.
Burt's Bees Frequently Asked Questions
Are your products hypoallergenic?
There is no defined methodology to test for allergic reactions in beauty or personal care products, nor does the FDA regulate use of the term "hypoallergenic." Consequently, Burt's Bees does not position their products as hypoallergenic. A list of ingredients for each product is available on individual product information pages on this site.
Are your products safe for pregnant women to use?
Burt's Bees recommends that any expectant mother check with her physician before changing her skin care routine with their products, or any other line of products.
How long will my Burt's Bees products stay fresh and what is the best way to store them?
Burt's Bees products are made with natural ingredients. They purposely present our products in smaller portions so you finish them while their ingredients are still fresh and providing their maximum effectiveness. As such, we recommend you store creams and oils in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. Creams may be stored in their cartons for extra protection.
Where are Burt's Bees products made?
Over 95% of Burt's Bees products are made right in their own manufacturing plant in Durham, NC. The rest are made by other respectable American manufacturers.
Do you test on animals and do your products contain animal-derived ingredients?
Burt's Bees does NOT conduct product or ingredient tests of any kind on animals. A few of their products contain ingredients derived from animals such as beeswax, royal jelly, milk and carmine.
I am allergic to bees. Can I still use your products?
Burt's Bees does not use actual bee venom in their products – only bee by products such as honey, beeswax, royal jelly and honey powder. However, if you are allergic to bee by-products, then Burt's Bees does not suggest using their products. They recommend that you contact your health care provider when changing your skin care regimen to find out which products are best for you.

About Burt's Bees
At Burt’s Bees, they scour the good earth to find the most natural, effective ingredients to put in our products. To Burt’s Bees, the word “natural” means only one thing. It means, “harvested from nature.” And they adhere to that definition like the strictest of school teachers. There are ingredients that you will never find in any Burt’s Bees product. Things like petroleum which can be toxic. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which is a harsh, aggressive ingredient used in certain beauty products. And when was the last time you saw a farmer growing Propylene Glycol? Rather than loading their products up with harsh chemicals or unnecessary fillers, they offer you only the good stuff.

This Burt's Bees night creme was very disappointing. When I used it the orange color of the creme would not come off my hands without soap and water. It is a night creme, so I put in on my face and woke up with orange stains on the pillowcase that did not come off. The odor of this creme also does not please me. There are much better Burt's night cremes!
I love this cream - especially in the winter and I love the unusual scent of all their "carrot nutritive" lotions.
Too heavy for a face cream
I have not used this personally, but my mom loves it, so I order it for her all the time.
