About Bach Flower Remedies
Dr Edward Bach was a Physician and Homeopath who spent his life searching for the purest methods of healing. Why is there alcohol in Bach Original Flower Remedies?
Dr Bach used alcohol in his preparations, usually brandy, for its preservative properties. It is there to guard against microbial contamination which could otherwise grow in the water-based remedies. The alcohol is not an active ingredient. In the early days when chemists were supplied with mother tinctures to prepare the stock remedies, they used either rectified spirit or pure alcohol. Nora Weeks explained: 'In preparing the stock bottles, including the Rescue Remedy, at Mount Vernon, we use brandy instead of rectified spirit added by the chemists. The brandy, like the rectified spirit, is used only as a preservative and makes no difference whatever to the strength or efficiency of the remedy.'
How quickly will the remedies start to make a difference?
For some people it can be immediately, for others it might take a little longer depending on the issues being treated. Each case is unique.
Can the remedies only be added to water?
You can add the remedies to tea, coffee, fizzy drinks etc. They differ to homeopathic remedies in this respect. Hot drinks will cause the alcohol to evaporate but the flower essence will remain in the drink.
Are there any side effects from using the remedies?
Whilst the Bach Flower remedies are considered to be free from side effects, if you notice anything different when using the remedies or experience any additional symptoms please stop taking the remedies and speak to either your doctor or a Registered Bach Flower Practitioner.
Do the remedies work faster if I don't dilute them?
There is no difference in potency or speed of effect between taking the four drops from a treatment bottle and taking neat stock remedy. The brandy in the stock bottle will, however, taste stronger and this psychologically may give the impression that the essences are stronger. This isn't the case.
Can I take Bach Original Flower Remedies with other medicine?
As always, if you are taking prescribed medication it is advisable for you to speak with your doctor before using the Bach Flower Remedies (or other forms of self purchased treatments) and and follow the advice given.
How many remedies can I use at once?
No more than seven should be used. You may feel as if you need more than this, but you should try to pinpoint six or seven at the most. Try to pinpoint how you are feeling at the moment, then match the exact mood you're in with the appropriate remedy. Any past emotions can be treated once you have dealt with the present ones.

Clean affected area, then apply cream to area thoroughly. Cover with a bandage if necessary. Check that seal is intact before first use. To open, pierce tube seal with point in top of cap. I wash my hands MANY times a day and this non-greasy, fast absorbing cream immediately softens and conditions my hands for long periods of time--and it's unscented!

This cream is magic. I have used it on a crushed finger, a severe animal bite through the fingernail--ouch--and a necrotizing spider bite. Also on various minor burns and cuts. It is instantly soothing and actually takes the pain away. And the injury heals without infection. I don't know how it works; I just know that it does. I tell everyone about this cream now.

This is the most amazing product I've ever used! Whether you have a burn - or a sunburn, a cut,a blister, a mosquito bite, a poison ivy burn, a zit, a not-too-well-healing scar, redness after waxing - this is a cream to use. It "burns" a bit for 30 sec - and then it gets straight to work...you'll see the results right away. I introduced all my friends to it - and this is a fetish item now. Try it - you'll see what I mean!

All Bach Flower remedies are fabulous. The cream is great for everything from bug bites to zits. No fragrance and absorbs instantly. I wouldn't be without it.

I first used this cream on a second-to-third degree burn on my brother's hand (a firework went off in his hand, and then stuck to it. Nasty burn). Within two hours his pain was gone, and we had no need to take him to the emergency room. By the next morning, he could flex his hand and use it, although we kept the burn site covered with sterile cotton. Still no pain. Within five days, the bandage was off and he was able to use his hand normally. No scarring either. I have used this stuff on facial blemishes, carbuncles, skin rashes (including poison ivy), even hemorrhoids. It relieves pain and I think that healing is faster because of it.

I had a number of rough areas that I treated with Rescue cream. They have softened and some have disappeared after bothering me most of the summer. Some of the problems are related to a 76 year old body working in he garden during hot summer and getting burnt, not by unwise sun exposure, but because of taking medicines that warn you not to be exposed to the sun! Try and do that and get a garden tended. Thank you.

This product works well in conjunction with the Rescue Remedy liquid, but it can also be used as a healing balm for skin. It works particularly well on hands and feet!

I get a rash near my nose and mouth from time to time. This cream has really helped clear it up.

Fabulous product! This creme will fix any skin problem. Itching, dry skin, soothes sunburn. Always have a tube or two in the house! Dr. Bach researched his formulas for years and they are all amazing remedies. Thanks to Lucky for the great price. Locally it costs 10.49 a tube.

Bach's Rescue Cream Rocks!! It completely turned around a big second degree burn on the back of my hand, noticeably better overnight. And, It's the only remedy for those splits in my cuticles and around my nails that tend to be problematic in the colder months. Again, overnight application makes for noticeable results in the morning. Lucky Vitamin has the Best Price for this product.
The only thing I don't like is the metal tube. If my tube has been around a while (and I tend to have one available in many places like my purse, my car, my bedroom, the kitchen, work), it sometimes cracks. I feel like I can get all of the product out of a plastic tube, but not out of a metal one.

Usiing this as my facial moisturizer, not greasy. It is helping the appearance of my skin, not expensive. Have tried lots of other products, for now I like this, also for dry hands. I trust Bach products.
