Beeswax Lip Balm by Burt's Bees
Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm Tube - 0.15 oz. (4.25 g)
Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm gives your lips the soothing feeling they deserve. Burt's Bees' natural lip balm is loaded with coconut and sunflower oils, rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, to nourish, condition and soften lips. Beeswax seals in hydration. They've even added peppermint oil for a refreshing tingle. Take your pick of an old-fashioned yellow tin or a recycled plastic tube. No wonder it is their most popular product.
Beeswax: A natural wax made by bees in the cell walls of honeycombs, this substance is a natural emulsifier used in cosmetics. It adds a wonderful natural smell and color to products and helps to seal and protect the skin when used in moisturizing formulas.
Collecting Beeswax On Nature's Schedule
Bees know how to do their job, so Burt's Bees leaves them alone and minds their own beeswax until the time is right. That's how they ensure their beeswax cultivating process protects their normal production cycle. Bees produce a wax honeycomb where they raise their young and store honey and pollen. When it's full, they cap off the honeycomb and move on to build another hive. Then, and not before, is when Burt's cultivates the beeswax, ensuring the normal cycle of nature.
Burt's Bees Frequently Asked Questions
Are your products hypoallergenic?
There is no defined methodology to test for allergic reactions in beauty or personal care products, nor does the FDA regulate use of the term "hypoallergenic." Consequently, Burt's Bees does not position their products as hypoallergenic. A list of ingredients for each product is available on individual product information pages on this site.
Are your products safe for pregnant women to use?
Burt's Bees recommends that any expectant mother check with her physician before changing her skin care routine with their products, or any other line of products.
How long will my Burt's Bees products stay fresh and what is the best way to store them?
Burt's Bees products are made with natural ingredients. They purposely present our products in smaller portions so you finish them while their ingredients are still fresh and providing their maximum effectiveness. As such, we recommend you store creams and oils in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. Creams may be stored in their cartons for extra protection.
Where are Burt's Bees products made?
Over 95% of Burt's Bees products are made right in their own manufacturing plant in Durham, NC. The rest are made by other respectable American manufacturers.
Do you test on animals and do your products contain animal-derived ingredients?
Burt's Bees does NOT conduct product or ingredient tests of any kind on animals. A few of their products contain ingredients derived from animals such as beeswax, royal jelly, milk and carmine.
I am allergic to bees. Can I still use your products?
Burt's Bees does not use actual bee venom in their products – only bee by products such as honey, beeswax, royal jelly and honey powder. However, if you are allergic to bee by-products, then Burt's Bees does not suggest using their products. They recommend that you contact your health care provider when changing your skin care regimen to find out which products are best for you.

About Burt's Bees
At Burt’s Bees, they scour the good earth to find the most natural, effective ingredients to put in our products. To Burt’s Bees, the word “natural” means only one thing. It means, “harvested from nature.” And they adhere to that definition like the strictest of school teachers. There are ingredients that you will never find in any Burt’s Bees product. Things like petroleum which can be toxic. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which is a harsh, aggressive ingredient used in certain beauty products. And when was the last time you saw a farmer growing Propylene Glycol? Rather than loading their products up with harsh chemicals or unnecessary fillers, they offer you only the good stuff.

I have dry lips and this lip balm did not moisturize it at all. There is a nice cooling sensation but dries out really quickly.
My medications for 45+ years effectively managing Multiple Sclerosis keep my lips dry WITHOUT use of this product! Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm is FANTASTIC; and, the hint of mint is also refreshing! I can't recommend this product - and the lip shimmers - highly enough!
Such a classic. We have tubes stashed in everywhere. It leaves your lips feeling protected, and the peppermint provides that refreshing subtle tingle.
Two things I always have in my pockets at all times - my cell phone, and this Burt's Bees Lip Balm. I love it, and it's easliy the best lip balm I've ever used!
Great product. Taste good and smell good. Leave my lips more moisturized.
this lip balm is amazing! ever since this one, i've never bought any other lip balm so consistently. it's got a great refreshing, tingly cool feeling
The 'peppermint tingle' is too much for dry lips. I keep trying mine because I love other Burt's Bees products. But, I end up wiping it off every time because it burns. It is however great to use under your nose to keep your sinuses clear.
This product is excellent! I love the peppermint tingle and how conditioned it leaves my lips. I cannot be without it!
This is a great lip balm, but only for occasional use. If like me, you use a lip balm quite a few times a day it may irritate your lips due to the peppermint oil ingredient. I much prefer
Burts Bee's Honey lip balm which is much gentler on the lips
I love Burt's Bees chapstick, the tingle from the peppermint oil is always refreshing.
Burt's Bees original: need I say more? I love the tingly sensation on my lips- makes me know it's working.
The only lip balm I will use!!
this item works in great in the summer and winter. Keeps lips moist and prevents cracking
I use as much all organic or natural products as possible, so naturally I wanted some sort of lip protection for winter. I adore Burts Bees! You don't get that acky wax feeling and my lips don't crack like they used to using traditional over the counter lip balms.
Burt's Bees has the best lip balm!
The only chapstick that you can feel working but doesn't have the toxic ingredients that others do.
Best daily lip treatment for dry or chapped lips. Immediate relief.
nothing better for chapped lips
This is the best lip balm I have ever used
Burt's Bees Lip balm....My addiction. Everyone has to have one.
My daughter loves burt's bees. It's the only one she uses. I personally don't like the smell.
