Burt's Bees - Hand Creme Beeswax & Banana - 2 oz. (57 g)
Burt's Bees Beeswax and Banana Hand Cream contains the a-peeling natural aroma of bananas; this super-emollient hand creme combines Beeswax and Aloe to leave dry, hardworking hands noticeably soft, smooth and smelling great. Soft hands are always appealing.
How Beeswax and Banana Hand Creme Works
This super rich, all-natural hand cream is made with aloe vera and vitamin E to moisturize dry skin and beeswax to help seal and protect your hands from the elements. The sweet smell of banana reminds you to feed your skin with nourishing care.
Beeswax: A natural wax made by bees in the cell walls of honeycombs, this substance is a natural emulsifier used in cosmetics. It adds a wonderful natural smell and color to products and helps to seal and protect the skin when used in moisturizing formulas.
Collecting Beeswax On Nature's Schedule
Bees know how to do their job, so Burt's Bees leaves them alone and minds their own beeswax until the time is right. That's how they ensure their beeswax cultivating process protects their normal production cycle. Bees produce a wax honeycomb where they raise their young and store honey and pollen. When it's full, they cap off the honeycomb and move on to build another hive. Then, and not before, is when Burt's cultivates the beeswax, ensuring the normal cycle of nature.
Burt's Bees Frequently Asked Questions
Are your products hypoallergenic?
There is no defined methodology to test for allergic reactions in beauty or personal care products, nor does the FDA regulate use of the term "hypoallergenic." Consequently, Burt's Bees does not position their products as hypoallergenic. A list of ingredients for each product is available on individual product information pages on this site.
Are your products safe for pregnant women to use?
Burt's Bees recommends that any expectant mother check with her physician before changing her skin care routine with their products, or any other line of products.
How long will my Burt's Bees products stay fresh and what is the best way to store them?
Burt's Bees products are made with natural ingredients. They purposely present our products in smaller portions so you finish them while their ingredients are still fresh and providing their maximum effectiveness. As such, we recommend you store creams and oils in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. Creams may be stored in their cartons for extra protection.
Where are Burt's Bees products made?
Over 95% of Burt's Bees products are made right in their own manufacturing plant in Durham, NC. The rest are made by other respectable American manufacturers.
Do you test on animals and do your products contain animal-derived ingredients?
Burt's Bees does NOT conduct product or ingredient tests of any kind on animals. A few of their products contain ingredients derived from animals such as beeswax, royal jelly, milk and carmine.
I am allergic to bees. Can I still use your products?
Burt's Bees does not use actual bee venom in their products – only bee by products such as honey, beeswax, royal jelly and honey powder. However, if you are allergic to bee by-products, then Burt's Bees does not suggest using their products. They recommend that you contact your health care provider when changing your skin care regimen to find out which products are best for you.

About Burt's Bees
At Burt’s Bees, they scour the good earth to find the most natural, effective ingredients to put in our products. To Burt’s Bees, the word “natural” means only one thing. It means, “harvested from nature.” And they adhere to that definition like the strictest of school teachers. There are ingredients that you will never find in any Burt’s Bees product. Things like petroleum which can be toxic. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which is a harsh, aggressive ingredient used in certain beauty products. And when was the last time you saw a farmer growing Propylene Glycol? Rather than loading their products up with harsh chemicals or unnecessary fillers, they offer you only the good stuff.

My husband is a machinist, his hands are the worst I've ever seen.
This creme is the only thing he has ever asked me to get again. Ever. It really softens, and smells nice. It stays on a long time too! For an all natural product, this is a great one for hands.
One of my very favorite products! This hand cream is so soft and smooth and it actually smells so good you want to eat it!.......and you probably could with all the natural ingredients in it. I keep one at work and one on my night stand.
I'm a housekeeper, so my hands are always dried out from handling chemicals, dry linens, and constantly changing gloves. This hand cream works really well for moisturizing and healing cracked hands. It does take some time to soak in though, so I'd recommend using it at a time when you don't plan on using your hands much, otherwise the cream will rub off before it can soak into your skin! Also, the smell takes some time to get used to, I wasn't a fan at first, but it's grown on me. It literally does smell like bananas and beeswax! If you aren't a fan of the smell, try the almond milk hand cream from Burt's Bees.
This really smells like bananas! This is a good moisturizer. I appreciate knowing that I'm not rubbing a lot of unnecessary chemicals into my skin.
