What is Henna?
NEUTRAL HENNA (Lawsonia Enermis) has a long history of use as a natural conditioner which adds shine and body to hair. It does this by depositing a clear cellophane-like (non-coloring) coating on each hair shaft. This results in lots of bright natural highlights and increased texture and body.
The henna plant is a tall, slender shrub that grows abundantly throughout the Middle East. Its small white flowers yield an essential perfume and its oval-shaped leaves are ground into a fine powder and used as a natural colorant and conditioner.
When this powder is exposed to sunlight and air, its coloring properties are destroyed or "neutralized" but its highlighting and conditioning properties remain.
A special extraction process is then used to recover the rich cellulose-like material that is responsible for the spectacular highlighting effects.
Suggested Use
For best results, wash hair first with Henna Gold Highlighting Shampoo. Apply a small amount to clean hair. Leave on up to 3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

This conditioner works well, smells good and seems to reflect light as it says it will. I only wish it was better at "detangling" my hair

probably my favorite conditioner to use. It certainly is my favorite brand. I have extremely long hair that is thick & I keep color treated blonde range (roots only). I have tried others but this seems to work best and makes it shiny. I comb it through before rinsing it out and then follow up with Shikai - Color Reflect Mist & Go Conditioner. Have had many comments about shine and softness so I think I'll stick with these products!
