Kal Pure Stevia Extract Liquid has NO calories and is alcohol free. The steviosides should not adversely affect blood glucose levels in most individuals. The stevia plant originally came from the rain forests of Brazil and Paraguay. It is now grown in those areas, as well as in Japan, Korea, Thailand, and China. It is most widely used as a non-sugar sweetener in food and drink, particularly because it does not appear to have any calories or affect on blood sugar like most natural sweeteners (like sugar or honey). The leaf is used in herbal preparations. The native peoples in South America used stevia primarily as a sweetener, a practice adopted by European colonists. The indigenous tribes also used stevia to treat diabetes. During World War II, stevia was grown in England as a sugar substitute. The greatest use of stevia as a sweetener today can be found in Japan.

This is the best sweetener I have ever tried. It has no after taste and no bitterness. I'm ordering
for me and a couple of my friends.

Great taste with no after-taste. Better than another brand I tried. Like the liquid because you can use it in cold foods or drinks. I love it in plain yogurt and iced tea. I keep a little in my purse (in a tiny plastic squeeze bottle I bought separately) and use it in unsweetened iced tea at restaurants.

This product was recommended to me on the basis that, unlike most Stevia products, it has no aftertaste. In a tropical smoothie I made, that claim turned out to be true. On cereal, not so true. Overall a wonderful, healthy, zero-calorie sugar substitute.

I have found the Kal Pure Stevia Extract Liquid is meeting my expectations. I use the extract to sweeten my coffee in the morning, my oatmeal, and main entrees that call for sugar or sweeteners....even cole slaw! I find it to be pleasant and not overwhelming in any manner. I would highly recommend this extract for all your sweetening needs.

Very good in food (i.e. yogurt) and liquids. No bitter taste.

My daughter and I both love this product! I think it is the best stevia product out there. This size makes it incredibly easy to carry around in my purse and use when I get that nice cup of tea someplace.

Just a smaller version of the 4 ounce. Great product. No bitter aftertaste.

This was good but I like the NOW BetterStevia more. As much as I read about no aftertaste, to me it was a distinct one. Not horrible but I did notice it. I guess just the difference in people and their make-ups. I liked the KAL powdered version better than their liquid; however, the liquid BetterStevia is better to me (especially their French Vanilla!)

I'm still trying to get used to this liquid form of Stevia vs. the powder form I;m used too as I still don't quite have the drop amount dosage down to my desired amount. The bottle states 5 drops but I have to do more because of my desired Stevia strength but I will never use anything else the rest of my life outside of Stevia no matter what form of Stevia I use.

Other reviewers said no bitter taste and they are correct. Like that it's liquid. The powder just doesn't dissolve in cold drinks.
