Kal Pure Stevia Extract Powder has NO unpleasant aftertaste and NO calories. The steviosides should not adversely affect blood glucose levels in most individuals. The stevia plant originally came from the rain forests of Brazil and Paraguay. It is now grown in those areas, as well as in Japan, Korea, Thailand, and China. It is most widely used as a non-sugar sweetener in food and drink, particularly because it does not appear to have any calories or affect on blood sugar like most natural sweeteners (like sugar or honey). The leaf is used in herbal preparations. The native peoples in South America used stevia primarily as a sweetener, a practice adopted by European colonists. The indigenous tribes also used stevia to treat diabetes. During World War II, stevia was grown in England as a sugar substitute. The greatest use of stevia as a sweetener today can be found in Japan.

I've tried various brands, but Kal was one of the first I tried, and it's my favorite. All other brands are either very watered down, non-exist sweetness or barely sweet. Kal lasts me a very long time and has the cleanest taste of any sweetner I've tried. I'm loyal to this brand and hope it remains available for many years.

I was loyal to Wisdom Natural for their Sweetleaf stevia extract until I came across a lot of half-full bottles (when they had reliably been filled to the top in the past). Their claim that it was the same weight (.9 oz) was no consolation; I wasn't getting nearly the same amount of servings because I was getting fewer dry measurements at the same sweetness. So I decided to try Kal's version and have stuck with it since. Not only is it sweeter per (dry) measurement, it's less expensive per ounce (weight) and offers the same clean, non-bitter sweetness. Great value overall.

This Stevia doesn't have a bad aftertaste like some other brands I've tried. The 3.5 oz jar lasts me from 6 months to a year. A tiny pinch equals to 2 teaspoons of sugar.

I have used Stevia Extract Powder for 6 years. I love it as a sweetner in fruit, whipped cream, combined with sugar (for browning) in baked goods, in citrus drinks (lemon, lime, orange). I experiment with it often. I make great hot chocolate and a killer rhubarb sauce with it.

I am a Type II diabetic with a sweet tooth. Surprise, surprise!! Of course, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, etc., are no longer an option. After trying many different brands of Stevia brands, I've found the KAL Pure Stevia Extract to be the best option for my use. I regularly bottle up iced green tea and lemonade and just a little bit of stevia adds the right amount of sweetness. I also add a half mini-spoon to coffee and it tastes perfect... no bitter after-taste. I am very pleased with this product and am thankful there is a healthy sugar alternative that balances my blood sugar rather than spiking it.

This is a great product: I didn't give it a 5-star rating because the label said there is a scoop inside. guess what? No scoop. I bought this brand on the advice of my herbalist, who had tried many different brands before settling on Kal. She claims that it hasn't a bitter aftertaste like so many others, and she's right; no bitterness.

I love Kal Stevia. It has no bitter aftertaste. I put one scoop in my hot drinks and they are plenty sweet. You can't tell it is not sugar. I also use it in my yogurt and sweeten my berries.

Extremely concentrated, so a bit of a shock if you've been using Stevia powder cut with other ingredients. Definite aftertaste if you go overboard.

LOVE THIS PRODUCT!! For almost 3 years I have used it. I keep a jar by the coffee pot and one in my purse at all times ( I use a smaller size bottle that I just refill from the larger container). I use it to sweeten everthing where I used to use sugar. I even cook with it. There is NO bitter after taste with this KAL brand. It is so concentrated so you don't need much and to me it's even sweeter than sugar. Its all natural made from the Stevia plant so there's no chemicals or additives so you have peace of mind that you are not putting poison into your body. Its also low glycemic and NO calories!!! To me it's perfect and a staple. You can't go wrong here!!

The best Stevia ever! This is the only one we will use, even my husband has switched from artificial sweeteners and uses Kal Pure. Never bitter, excellent product. Wish it was available in packets to take everywhere.

We've been using this product for years, and would never allow ourselves to run out. It's the only sweetner we ever use. It's great in drinks, cereal, baking and everything. We've tried other brands and forms of stevia and none compare to Kal 100% pure stevia. I recommend it to everyone. I use ONE teaspoon of kal stevia to equal one cup of sugar, one half teaspoon to equal one half cup of sugar, etc.

I have tried alot of different brand names of stevia, none of them compare to Kal's powder. The flavor is the best. Kal's powder in the bottle tastes much better than the individual packets.

I bought this hoping I would like it at least as well as sucrulose because I am trying to get myself and my children to have more of a healthy and natural diet. I've tried a few different types of stevia but some have a horrible aftertaste. This has a nice, clean taste, mixed pretty easy and, price-wise, it a much better value compared to most of the other brands and other sweeteners on the market. I am extremely pleased and will be a repeat buyer.

Kal Stevia is the best tasting stevia I have tried. I have been a repeat customer for several years and I find no need to experiment with other brands. This product is concentrated, so a little goes a "long way". I use just 1/4 tsp in 2 qts of fresh brewed tea with excellent results. I have been able to get off of all artificial sweeteners and I'm totally happy with the results. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Kal Pure Stevia Extract really is as good as it gets, and Lucky Vitamin has a great price.
This is stevia in a highly concentrated powered form: a tiny bit goes a long way. Plus, for me, it has no undesirable after taste. We use it mixed with water, lime, and cranberry juice and also with coffee and tea. It's a perfect sugar substitute.

This is still one of my favorite sweeteners to buy when needing to watch my calories. Way too many stevia products on the market have other sweeteners mixed in. This one does NOT. I'd say that 80% of the time it's perfect for what I need. There are a select few foods that don't seem to take on the sweetness that readily. Not sure what that is about. But one quickly learns what to use it on and what to leave it off of.

This is highly concentrated stevia and is hard to measure. The product comes with a tiny scoop but it is very easy to go from "not quite sweet enough" TO "OMG this is bitter". There is a fine line between making what you are sweetening become "sweet" and crossing over that line to it becoming bitter tasting. I have tried to use it to sweeten homemade jello, and protein shakes. So far no luck in getting the sweet taste I want.

I love this stuff. I have used it for years and have purchased it from Lucky Vitamin the entire time. You only need just a little bit it is very very sweet. This is by far pure and I have been unable to purchase this specific product by Kal in my health food stores.

This is the best stevia out of about 7 I've used. It's almost twice as sweet as the others, so it's economical. I combine it with erythritol for a sugar-like sweetner with zero calories and no known side effects. Lucky Vitamin has a low price & excellent availability.

Absolutely love this product. Was using a more expensive brand, but found this is totally adequate and much better price. This lasts me almost 6 months or so and I use it all the time. I always add a little honey to mix flavors.

I used to buy this 13+ yrs ago before it came advertised in little green packages (with a bunch of fiber/bulk to make it look like it's got more volume than it really does) and no one could understand the benefit. KAL is absolutely the BEST stevia I've used, and I've used a lot of different ones. I use it in hot and cold drinks, cereal, smoothies, salad dressings, . . . almost anything I might put sugar in. I do not use more than 3 of the little spoons at a time in baked goods, but often supplement those 3 spoons w/ agave when greater amts of sweetening is needed.
