Healthy Origins 5-HTP Hydroxytryptophan 100 mg. is a naturally occurring substance extracted from the seeds of the Griffonia Simplicifolia plant. Healthy Origins 5-HTP 5-Hydroxytryptophan helps to normalize serotonin activity in your body and as a result, may reduce appetite, positively affect mood and help regulate the sleep cycle. Healthy Origins 5-HTP is guaranteed to be free of "peak x" contaminant. Healthy Origins' 5-HTP is a naturally occurring standardized extract of Griffonia simplicifolia containing greater than 99% pure 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP). Extracts of Griffonia simplicifolia have been used traditionally in African medicine to inhibit diarrhea, vomiting and constipation, and as an aphrodisiac. 5-HTP is a precursor of serotonin (5-HT).

I take 2 caps every night. Healthy Origens really make all difference. I higly recommend this brand!
