A cosmetic that seems natural is not enough. It has to be natural. The concept of natural cosmetics in other countries states that a product may not have ingredients that are harmful to either the consumer or the environment. - PPD (dye): continuous exposure to this dye may lead to skin and eye sensitivity and may cause permanent loss of eyesight. In the environment, it is considered very toxic to aquatic organisms.
- Resorcinol (dye): causes irritation to the skin and respiratory tract
- Hydrogen peroxide: used to remove natural pigment from the hair prior to adding color; it changes the hair structure and makes it more fragile, brittle and lackluster.
- Parabens (preservatives): cause irritation and allergies in persons with skin sensitivity to synthetic substances.

Spread the product on the palms of your hands. Apply on the wet hair and massage softly. Rinse. This is one shampoo that you will want to use forever. It cleans the hair without any toxins or synthetic ingredients.

I have used this product as well as my family has. It seemed to work great. My only concern is it list an ingredient by the name of DMDM HYDANTOIN which is a toxic agent that releases FORMALDEHYDE. If you don't believe me look it up. I am contacting the company tomorrow to find out the reason why. The only line in there products that contain this is the Restorative line.

It smells good and feels good, but I seem to need more to lather than a usual shampoo. Lather may not be an indication of quality, but it helps spread the shampoo throughout and into the hair.

I must say this is the best shampoo out there, I have been using the Wen products and was looking for an alternative to some thing more affordable, so I decided to try it out, wow! I have thin curly hair, and this shampoo is so gentle, and gave me lots of volume,shine,and it also protects my color! that is awesome! I also bought the leave- in and had amazing results, I purchased the intensive treatment restorative mask,left it as indicated,15mins, and wow! my hair was so shiny and bouncy and with lots of volume, I am very pleased with this line of products so i am saying good by to wen and hello to Surya! I am looking forward in trying the Surya Brasil henna cream hair color I bought in black I hope I get the same results! I have only 10% grey, to cover after looking at the reviews I decided to by it also, I will definately will keep you guys posted... I hope this help on any women of my age 49, to try something new ! go ahead give Surya a try!

Just started using and love it!! I used another brand of color shampoo, but the Surya Brasil Henna Color Fixation Intensive Treatment Restorative Shampoo leaves my hair so soft and manageable.

This is the best shampoo ever, and the only one to use if you use henna. Every other shampoo out there strips the henna out of my hair. It also is a great scalp cleaner. I notice a huge difference in my hair when I run out of it.
