Nutribiotic - Organic Vegan Rice Protein Plain Flavor - 3 lbs. (1.36 kg)

NutriBiotic Vegan Organic Plain Rice Protein is a high quality, low carbohydrate vegetable protein. This easily digestible protein provides an extensive array of naturally occurring amino acids, the building blocks of protein. Ideal for individuals who suffer from food allergies and digestive difficulties.

Boost your nutrition and energy with this healthy and wholesome, protein rich formula!
NutriBiotic Vegan Organic Rice Protein is produced by means of a unique enzyme process. A proprietary blend of organic plant enzymes are used to separate the fiber and carbohydrates from the protein portion of the organic, whole grain, sprouted brown rice. Low temperatures used during processing prevent denaturing of the amino acids. NO CHEMICALS are used at any time. Due to this enzyme process, color, taste, and texture may vary.

NutriBiotic RICE PROTEIN is a great tasting vegetable protein free of the common food allergens normally associated with products such as soy, milk, egg, wheat and yeast. NutriBiotic RICE PROTEIN is a highly soluble powdered formula that mixes easily into a glass of water or juice. Add to beverages or meals for an extra protein boost. No chemicals are used during processing. All that Nutribiotics uses to process their rice protein is purified water and natural enzymes.

    Low Temperature Enzyme Process
The whole brown rice is first ground into a fine flour. Pure filtered water is then added, forming a thick slurry (called liquefaction) Natural enzymes are added in at different stages to break down and separate the carbohydrate and fiber from the protein portion of the whole grain. All processing temperatures are kept below 90 degrees F. The low temperature and chemical free processing prevents denaturing of the amino acids. The final stage involves filtering, drying and low temperature milling.

NutriBiotic Rice Protein is free of the common food allergens normally associated with soy, milk and egg proteins. GMO & GLUTEN FREE!

    NutriBiotic Vegan Rice Protein
NutriBiotic Rice Protein is the highest quality vegetable protein made from non-genetically modified whole grain brown rice. Free of the common food allergens normally associated with products such as soy, milk, egg, wheat and yeast. This highly soluble powdered formula mixes into water, juice or meals for an extra protein boost. Chemical processing is avoided by using a purified water and natural enzyme procedure.

Nutribiotic Rice Protein is hypo-allergenic and is an excellent source of vegan, hypo-allergenic protein.

NutriBiotic Rice Protein offers an alternative to soy, without the animal products of whey. Rice protein is suitable for use by those with food allergies. It has a mild flavor similar to that of Cream of Rice cereal and may be used in beverages, sprinkled on cereals and yogurt, and added to cooked dishes to boost the protein content without adding fat or a lot of calories. At about 58 calories per tablespoon (or 15 gram serving), rice protein is one of the lightest protein sources around.

NutriBiotic Rice Protein Frequently Asked Questions

Why would I want to use rice protein?
NutriBiotic Organic Rice Protein is an excellent source of vegan protein. Most people are familiar with soy and whey protein, and while they each provide sound nutrition, rice protein offers additional benefits. Whey protein comes from milk, and some people either cannot or do not wish to use animal-based protein. Soy protein often is difficult for people to digest and may pose allergy risks. NutriBiotic Organic Rice Protein offers an alternative to soy without the animal products of whey. And, rice protein is utilized more efficiently by the body than soy. Rice protein is suitable for use by those with food allergies. It has a mild flavor similar to that of Cream of Rice cereal and may be used in beverages, sprinkled on cereals and yogurt, and added to cooked dishes to boost the protein content without adding a lot of fat or calories.

Rice is a carbohydrate. How do you get protein from it?
All foods contain amino acids, which are the building blocks of what they collectively call protein. For instance, broccoli contains protein, as do all fruits and vegetables and grain products. NutriBiotic's uses a unique process that allows us to isolate the protein from the carbohydrate portion of the rice. The end result is an extensive amino acid profile that includes 19 amino acids including all 9 essential amino acids.

Does that mean the rice protein is chemically derived? I'm chemically intolerant and have to avoid food additives.
NutriBiotic Rice Protein is not chemically processed. They use organic plant enzymes that are GMO free to break down and digest the carbohydrate portion of the rice, leaving behind the protein. Their method of extraction leaves a very pure protein, free of additives or chemicals that can cause sensitivities.

Who certifies the Organic Rice Protein is organic?
NutriBiotic Organic Rice Protein is USDA Organic and is certified organic by CCOF.

Is the Organic Rice Protein Kosher?
NutriBiotic Organic Rice Protein is Certified Kosher.

I noticed your label gives a standard nutritional breakdown, which includes carbohydrate. What form is this carbohydrate in, and why is it there if I am buying rice protein?
The carbohydrate in the Rice Protein is a complex carbohydrate, a natural component of the product. This amount is very minimal. No sugars have been added.

Is the Organic Rice Protein considered a complete protein?
The term "complete protein" refers to a source of protein that contains all nine essential amino acids in adequate proportions. NutriBiotic Organic Rice Protein contains these nine amino acids, plus many other nonessential amino acids, but does not meet the required proportions of Lysine or Histidine. All of the amino acids in NutriBiotic's Rice Protein are naturally occurring components of the rice. They have added nothing to their product. Persons on restrictive diets would do well to consult their health care practitioner or nutritionist before adopting or rejecting the use of Rice Protein. NutriBiotics cannot recommend the use of their product to treat conditions other than hunger.

    NutriBiotic's Story
In 1980, after nearly ten years in the nutritional supplement industry, NutriBiotic was founded based on the principle that everyone deserves good health. Inspired by the research and recommendations of the world's only two-time Nobel Laureate, Linus Pauling, Ph.D., NutriBiotic began work on development of a variety of forms and dosages of Vitamin C and other nutrients. NutriBiotic felt that the public should have the best possible variety of the best possible nutrients at the best possible price, and our initial successes with our family of products showed that you thought so too.

Soon after NutriBiotic began filling the need for quality nutritional supplements, NutriBiotic found another need - the need for high quality, nutrient dense protein in a hypoallergenic form for the chemical and food sensitive individual. NutriBiotic Rice Protein powder meets that need without soy, milk, egg, wheat or yeast.

In 1987 NutriBiotic pioneered the process and use of grapefruit seed extract. You will find the fruits of our labors in their range of products containing Citricidal, including their skin cleansers, shower gel and bubble bath, dental gel, deodorant stick, foot powder, multi-purpose liquid concentrate, CapsulesPlus, and more.

I have been using this protein for almost a year and it's great. Mixes easily and the flavor is very mild. The high quality is what made me purchase it in the first place and I have nothing but good things to say about this product.

    I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!
